Fulfill a Wish, Changea Life this Holiday Season
Naples, FL - 11/3/09 - The Shelter for Abused Women & Childrenis asking individuals, businesses and local organizations to help provide a tranquil holiday season to adult and child victims of domestic violence.
In addition to food items needed for Thanksgiving Dinner for families throughout Collier County, including turkey, stuffing, beans and rice, canned vegetables, pies and all the trimmings, The Shelter is also seeking new, unwrapped, non-violent gifts for the holidays. Please, non-violent toys, videos, books, tapes or CDs only! Please remember batteries for toys that require them.
"As we make our way through another challenging year, wethank those who have supported us in the past and ask those who can do so to please help us provide safety, transformation and holiday cheer to the children, pets and adults finding peace at The Shelter," notes The Shelter's Volunteer & Resource Coordinator Lissette Santos.
New & unwrapped gifts ONLY, PLEASE! We cannot accept any items of a violent nature: toys, videos, books, tapes and CD's.
We especially need gifts for teens aged 13-17years and women. Immokalee families need gift certificates to buy new shoes and ethnic dolls. Don't forget batteries for toys that require them!
