Please arrive at your games at least 30 minutes before game time—doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Friday, and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for fans-no fans will be allowed to enter before that time. Only players (with uniforms on) and coaches (2) will be allowed to enter the gym before the official gym opening. All entries to the gyms will be marked. If you need an extra coaches pass. Let me know. Please forward a team roster to me as soon as possible-this will be used at the gate for players as they enter. Basketballs are not provided-water will be available on the sidelines. Bob McAllister, retired PBOA official, will be assigning officials-they will be good!
16 minute stop time halves, 6 fouls, no 30 second clock, at least 5 minute warm-up between games, and regular federation rules apply-will have a complete set of rules at your first game site. Team listed first is the home team and will wear white/light colored uniforms.
This is the beginning of most of the older clubs 2011 summer season, therefore, for some teams, this will be one of their first tournaments of the year-I use this tournament as a game/practice evaluation for my 4 teams. Camas High and Beaverton High are the only true school teams and I know their coaches are using this tournament evaluation for their June summer league session. Like most of you, many of my top players are still in spring sports as the Oregon State Track and Field Meet and the Oregon State Softball play-offs are being conducted at the same time. We are all in this to gain experience for our teams—ENJOY!!!
