Teacher S Notes

Teacher S Notes

Teacher’s notes.

I made these worksheets as I remember the most fun I ever had in maths was writing words with a calculator instead of doing what I was supposed to be doing! These worksheets can be adapted to fit with subtraction lessons too. My class absolutely loved it, and it is a good way of getting them to use calculators and self mark. (not to mention a fun way of teaching column addition). There are 3 differentiated levels.

7 = L1 = I4 = H3 = E2 = Z 5 = S

0 = O8 = B6 = g

ANSWERS

It was a dark and stormy night. BILL, BOB and LIZ were playing inside. They were playing ‘Duck, Duck, GOOSE’. BOB got out and began to cry because HE didn’t like to LOSE. “BOO hoo” wailed BOB. Then BILL hurt HIS HEEL SO they stopped playing and HE took off his SHOE. Mum said “Who wants to help me BOIL an EGG for dinner?” LIZ felt ILL at the thought of it because SHE doesn’t like EGGS.

The boys quickly ate their dinner. “BE careful not to eat the SHELL!” laughed mum. After dinner the children played LEGO. BOB made a yellow and black BEE and it made LIZ GIGGLE.
