SENIORS:

1.  Seniors: Are you planning to attend VCU in the fall for a pre-health field? You should look into VCU’s four week health sciences summer enrichment program for incoming freshmen. Live on campus early and participate at no cost. To apply and learn more, visit www.dhsd.vcu.edu . This will help you become a competitive applicant to the professional health science program of your choice. Applications are due May 1, 2015.

2.  Seniors: Still looking for scholarship money? The GRASP Last Dollar scholarship applications are due April 1st. Don't miss this deadline. You must have a 2.0 GPA and have met with Mrs. Cunningham, our GRASP advisor, at least once. She is here on Mondays if you have any questions. Very few applications have been submitted, so don't miss your chance to apply. See Mrs. Cunningham or Mrs. Higgins in the counseling office with questions.

3.  Seniors planning to attend BRCC in the fall, please don't forget your placement tests must be completed prior to April 16th and you must let Mrs. Wangler know so you can be registered for the enrollment session we will be hosting here. See Mrs. Wangler today with any questions.

4.  Graduation items will be delivered to you on Tuesday, April 21 during lunches. Please make sure you have your balance paid as the items will not be given to you until it is paid in full.

PROM INFORMATION: “MASQUERADE”

1.  Prom is Saturday, May 9, from 8:00 – 11:00 pm at Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro. Juniors and Seniors, as well as their dates, are invited to attend. You and your date must pay all outstanding fines before you can purchase upir prom ticket. Please see Mrs. Coffey if you have any fines.

2.  Outside date signup sheets are in the office. If your date does not attend Stuarts Draft High School, you must fill out an outside date form and return it to the office no later than Tuesday, May 5, 2015. JUST A REMINDER: NO ONE OVER THE AGE OF 20 MAY ATTEND THE PROM, AS WELL AS NO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS.

STUDENTS:

1. There will be NO CHARGING allowed in the cafeteria after April 1 and all accounts must be paid in full by May 1.

3.  If you need BEHIND THE WHEEL, please stop by the office and pick up a form. Then see Coach Floyd, Coach Kirby or Coach Johnson to schedule a time to drive.

4.  NAHS will not be working on Soup bowls today.

over Nelson yesterday! GOOD LUCK on Thursday to Girls Tennis, JV Baseball, JV Softball and Girls Soccer at Stonewall Jackson and Varsity Baseball, Varsity Softball, and Boys Soccer as they take on Stonewall Jackson here at the Draft!

2.  Students: Late Valley Career and Technical Center applications will still be accepted in the counseling office. If you missed the deadline and want to apply, please do so. Also, VCTC just announced that they will be offering a Dual Enrollment (throughBRCC) Landscaping class next year in their horticulture program. Fill out a VCTC application now to apply for this new opportunity. See your counselor with any questions.

4. Duke University Summer Programs for High School Students Earn College credit and stay on campus Grades 9-12 are

5. Do you want to attend UVA? Would like to visit and learn more about the school? Want to see what a college class is like?

UVA is offering a class shadowing program where high school students can sit in on a class of their choice and experience the

college learning environment without having to spend the night on campus. You can sit in on anything from politics to dance

7.  Are you interested in a health career? Want to volunteer at a hospital this summer? 8.  Students: If you requested a Dual Enrollment course for next year, you should have received a packet of information in your homeroom. This packet explains enrolling at Blue Ridge and placement test scores that need to be completed and turned in to your counselor by May 25, 2015. If you did not receive a packet or lost yours, please stop by the counseling office and pick up a copy. Don't miss this important deadline!!
