CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The North Carolina Dropout Prevention Association will feature a series of 75 minute “Concurrent Sessions” supporting topics that reflect developments in dropout prevention and alternative education. If you are interested in sharing your ideas at our first joint conference, please submit one copy of this application no later than June 6, 2008, to John Reimer, NCDPA President, 12068 NC Hwy 62 South, Burlington, NC 27217 or email to For questions please call 336-694-4212, ext. 206(school) or 336-260-6349(cell).

Please be informed that all presenters serve on a contributing basis to the state conference. ALL session presenters must register. When notified of proposal acceptance, registration fees will be waived for one presenter only. If you have additional presenters, they must pay the full registration fee. Presenters are requested to refrain from using sessions as a means to sell programs or materials. Each presenter may be asked to give their presentation twice depending on interest and topic relevance. Please keep a copy of thisapplication for your records. Acceptance notification will be sent via email by June 19, 2008.

Abstract must be 50 words or less, exactly as you wish it to appear in the official conference program. Please type and proofread prior to submission. Longer abstracts will not be accepted.

You will need to bring at least 50 copies of handouts. Unfortunately, the

conference cannot be responsible for duplicating handouts or materials.

V. PRESENTER(S):

Presenter #1 will receive and send all correspondence. This person will assume responsibility for communicating if there are co-presenters and insuring that the registration form has been submitted and fee paid. All presenters must register for the conference. All remaining presenters must pay the full conference registration fee.
