Sunday, January 29thSaint Charlesis hosting the Catholic School Week Opening Mass at 12:00 P.M. – Please join us and celebrate Catholic School Education.

Monday, January 29th

Morning Prayer Service celebrating our faith and blessings.
Every Class will be designing/making a badge to wear on a lanyard this week symbolizing their pride in attending a Catholic School.
Students will create/write cards or letters to parents thanking them for sending them to a Catholic School. These will be given to parents at the “Open House” on Tuesday.
National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony in auditorium at 12:30 PM
Send in Donation to, “God’s Littlest Angels” Haitian Baby Ministry – details to follow.

Tuesday, January 30th * Open House for parents in all grades from 9 – 11am

Literature Day – Grades PKA – 8

On this day children in each grade will be working on a Literature activity. Parents will be able to share this experience by visiting your child’s classroom.

Wednesday, January 31st

Grandparents’ Day 1:00 PM Grades Pre-K- 4 (All are welcome!)

Students will perform for parents, grandparents, or any special member of their family. Songs will be sung by each grade remembering the music of the 80’s.

Cultural Day – Grades 5 – 8

Students will perform traditions/customs of different countries. They will gather information for presentation boards and bring in a food item from that country.

Grandparents and parents may visit the gym/cafeteria between 12:30 – 2 PM.

Thursday, February 1st

Buddy Day and Color Wars- Students will buddy up with another grade and collaboratively work together on a particular/project.
“Color Wars” – each grade will be given a “color” (buddy grades will have the same color). Wear that color to school. Be creative! You can wear your “color” nailpolish, a necklace, a hat, hair (must wash out by the next day), etc. At the end of the day we will have each class present themselves and their creativity in a “runway showdown”. A winner will be chosen. The class will be treated to a pizza lunch with the principal.

Friday, February 2nd

Dance-a-Thon for Cystic Fibrosis- GYM - “DJ Fussyman” (one of our own students)
A special treat for the students will be given at the Dance-a-Thon.

All grades including PK-3 and PKA 1,2,& 3

Schedule for classes will follow – Parents are welcome to come and dance with their children!

Students will dance to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Friends and relatives can sponsor the child by making a donation for this Foundation. Students will receive sponsor sheets for getting donations.
