The purpose of this notice is to provide potential offerors opportunities to provide comments on the draft Appendix. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters is issuing a Draft Appendix entitled "Space Technology Research Institutes" to the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) umbrella NASA Research Announcement (NRA) titled "Space Technology Research, Development, Demonstration, and Infusion 2016 (SpaceTech-REDDI-2016) for comment. The Space Technology Mission Directorate is seeking to invest, via research institutes, in university-led, multidisciplinary basic research and technology development within particular areas of strong interest to NASA and the wider aerospace community.

Fogarty Global Health Training Program (D43)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) provides opportunities for up to five consortia to develop and support global health research training programs that meet the following objectives: Provide mentored research training for pre-doctoral and pre-professional degree students and post-doctoral and recent post-professional degree students (trainees) from the U.S. and low- and middle- income countries (LMICs) in global health research at established biomedical and health research sites in LMICs, particularly those supported by the NIH. Provide all trainees with instruction and training in rigorous research design, research ethics and statistical analysis through mentored research training. Provide training opportunities in diverse areas of research relevant to the health priorities of collaborating LMICs and the mission areas of component NIH Institutes and Centers participating in this FOA. Provide knowledge and skills to prepare trainees for careers in health research. Strengthen global health programs at U.S. academic institutions and help to sustain health research at institutions in LMICs.

This initiative supports research to test the effectiveness of combined strategies to both detect and intervene to reduce the risk of suicide behavior, suicide ideation, and non-suicidal self-harm (NSSI) by youth in contact with the juvenile justice system. Opportunities for detection and prevention start at early points of contact (e.g., police interaction, the intake interview) and continue through many juvenile justice settings (e.g., pre-trial detention, juvenile or family court activities, court disposition, placement and on-going care in either residential or multiple community settings.) This FOA invites intervention strategies that are designed to be delivered in typical service settings using typically available personnel and resources, to enhance the implementation of interventions that prove effective, enhance their future uptake in diverse settings, and thereby reduce risk of suicide and self-harm in this population.

JDRF Invites Proposals for Innovative Research

Grants of up to $110,000 over twelve months will be awarded for research that addresses key outstanding questions and has the potential to lead to a change in the current paradigm and/or a groundbreaking discovery in efforts to find a cure for T1D.

The purpose of this APS is to disseminate information to enable prospective applicants to decide whether to seek USAID/OFDA funding in support of an initiative called “Next Generation of Humanitarian Leaders” and, if so, to assist them in developing and submitting applications. Regional Media Training

The U.S. Embassy Tallinn Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Department of State seeks proposals for programs to train local camera operators on: producing videos for live inserts from studio and from open air events, producing videos for talk shows in studio, video- interview techniques for camera, learning the key techniques, creative approaches and organizational skills involved in camera operation, coordinating work of multiple cameras at the same time and improving video quality with lighting system. The program should include the use of American trainers at the local studio for about a week, including local-language interpreter; and a week to ten days training session in the United States at a learning-studio. The number of students would be up to five operators. Preferred time for the U.S. training part would be July or August when the production team is on leave.

Fellowship Programs at Independent Research Institutions

Grants for Fellowship Programs at Independent Research Institutions (FPIRI) support fellowships at institutions devoted to advanced study and research in the humanities. Recognizing that at times scholars need to work away from their homes and institutions, the FPIRI program sponsors fellowships that provide scholars with research time, a stimulating intellectual environment, and access to resources that might otherwise not be available to them. Fellowship programs may be administered by independent centers for advanced study, libraries, and museums in the United States; American overseas research centers; and American organizations that have expertise in promoting research in foreign countries. Nominations Being Accepted for 2016 Roslyn S. Jaffe Awards

A single grant of $100,000 and two grants of $25,000 will be awarded to the creators/founders of social impact organizations that are working to improve the lives of women and children in the areas of health, education, social reform, and self-esteem.
