About me: My name is Mrs. Locuson. This is my 37th year of teaching, twenty of which were in elementary and the last seventeen in this middle school. I am married to Mr. Locuson who teaches across the street and we have three grown sons, all of which are married (One son and all three of their wives teach in Lake County schools). We have been blessed with two grandchildren so far.I feel each student is given the opportunity to an education. I will teach, nurture and protect the students while under my care. It is also my responsibility to make sure the students understand any task given to them. I am consistent with my classroom rules and class work requirements. Students are providedwith the Schoology app (through the Lake County Website), which will provide the students with all the assignments, power points, some quizzes, videos, as well as important dates as to when assignments are given, due and project information. The same information (assignments and due dates) is also posted in the classroom for students to see on a daily basis. Class work not finished in class can be taken home for homework.
Skyward
This is the grading program that Lake County uses. It is a great tool to use to keep up with your child’s grades, attendance records and test scores. You can also set up to receive email alerts and download the app on your smartphone or tablet. Previous users will receive an email as to when you can login. New users will need to download a form from the school website with info required and dropped off in the school office before access can be given. / Textbook
Your child will be issued a book to keep at home till the end of the year. We have a class set for them to use at school. It is the responsibility of the student to make sure it stays in good condition and is returned at the end of the year. / Schoology
Is a tool we use in our class for students to access and keep up with assignments and due dates.

Class Rules: 1.Agendas / Lanyards and Binder must be brought to class daily. 2. Your name must be on ALL papers. 3. Classwork can NOT be done in RED (ink or pencil). 4. You may use only 3 passes per nine weeks to go to the restroom or locker during class. 5. No LATE work is accepted unless absent the day it is due.
