Dean Rowland,

Hello, my name is Courtney Endicott and I am the Vice President of Class Giving for the University of Idaho’s Student Foundation. This year, the Student Foundation is looking to reformat the way we seek senior involvement in giving back to the University. We would like to receive help from each of the deans to achieve the goals the Foundation has set for the senior class gift.

Our plan is to create a committee of two or more seniors from each college to promote the senior class gift and the importance of giving back, while involving seniors from across campus. They will be working with the Student Foundation Senior Class Gift Committee and me to achieve the goals we have set out for this group of seniors from each college.

What I would like from you is to nominate, with their permission, two or more seniors from your college to be on the committee. Nominations need to be in to me by October 30, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. We are looking for seniors who understand the importance of building a culture of giving. We will ask each member to commit a leadership gift of $20.09—the same amount they will be asking of their classmates. The committee of seniors would meet two times a month. They would set up booths at events of their choice throughout the year to promote the senior gift.

We look forward to your nominees from the College of Education. Giving back to the University has been a great Vandal tradition and we look forward to our future alumni to leave a legacy at the University of Idaho.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at .

Sincerely,

Courtney Endicott

Vice President of Class Giving
