TheAdvancing Hispanic Excellence in Technology, Engineering, Math, and Science (AHETEMS) Scholarship Program is designed to enhance and achieve the potential of Latino students pursuing degrees in engineering, math and science. Merit-based and need-based scholarships are awarded to deserving Latino/a high school graduating seniors, undergraduate students, and graduate students who demonstrate both significant motivation and aptitude for a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. AICPA Scholarships for Minority Accounting Students - Also found in Connect EDU

The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. Funding is provided by the AICPA Foundation, with contributions from the New Jersey Society of CPAs and Robert Half International. For four decades, this program has provided over $14 .6 million in scholarships to approximately 8,000 accounting scholars.

Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship Online Application

The Epstein family established the Alan R. Epstein ‘Reach for the Stars’ Scholarship to honor the life of an outstanding young man who was tragically killed in an automobile accident. Scholarships are awarded to students who have overcome life's obstacles.

American Fire Extinguisher Scholarship Program

The AFSA Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors in the United States who plan to further their education at a college/university or certified trade school in the United States. The scholarship is not based on financial need. Relatives of AFSA staff or board members may not enter. You must be a high school senior during the 2014-2015 school year who will attend a college/university or trade school in the United States starting with the fall 2015 semester.

Requirements: All applicants must read the "Fire Sprinkler Essay" (pdf) or (html) (approximately 3,000 words) about automatic fire sprinklers and take a ten-question multiple-choice test. This is an open-book test and you may print out the paper beforehand for reference during testing. For each question answered correctly, students will receive one (1) entry into a drawing for one of ten $2,000 scholarships. For each question answered incorrectly, you will be given one more chance at the end of the exam to answer those questions correctly. For more information, please go to:

American Legion Legacy Scholarship

Through The American Legion Legacy Scholarship, the Legion works to ensure children of U.S. service members who died on or after Sept. 11, 2001, receive equal opportunities in their pursuit of higher learning. The Legacy Scholarship Fund awarded nearly $72,000 in scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel who died on active duty. Donations are welcome and greatly needed, as college costs rise and conflicts escalate overseas. More information

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarship

ANS Incoming Freshman Scholarships are awarded to graduating high-school seniors who have enrolled,

full-time, in college courses and are pursuing a degree in nuclear engineering or have the intent to pursue a degree in nuclear engineering. ANS will give a maximum of four Incoming Freshman Scholarships annually. Each award is $1000.

The Scholarships are awarded based on an applicant’s high school academic achievement, freshman college courses enrolled in, quality and content of 500-word essay, letters of recommendation by counselors and/or teachers, and other information.

AORN Foundation Scholarship

For students studying to be nurses and perioperative nurses pursuing undergrad and grad degrees.

Association for Women Geoscientists (AWG) Minority Scholarship

Female. African-American, Hispanic, or Native American (including American Indian, Eskimo,Hawaiian, or Samoan). US citizen. A full-time student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences (geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrology, meteorology, physical oceanography, planetary geology, or earth science education) at an accredited college or university (high school students who will enter one of these fields during their freshman year may also apply).

Automotive Hall of Fame Scholarship

The Automotive Hall of Fame serves as administrator to over $20,000 in combined college scholarships annually. The applicant must indicate a sincere interest in an automotive related career.

The program has specific scholarships for incoming freshmen and upper-level undergraduate students. All of the scholarships are based on financial needs and with the usual minimum GPA requirement of 3.0.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must:

•Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career.

•Provide an official transcript of all academic work.

•Submit two letters of recommendation supporting your automotive interests.

•Submit a letter of acceptance for an associate, bachelor, or master’s program.

•Be accepted at an accredited college, university or trade school within the United States at the time of application.

•Students attending a technical training school may also apply (trade school should equal a two-year associate program).

•Student must be a United States citizen or in the United States on a Student Visa.

•Must be enrolled full-time.

•Must have 3.0 GPA or higher.

Big Sun Scholarship
The Big Sun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. Cancer Survivor Scholarship
It is designed for cancer survivors and was named one of Time Magazine's top 50 websites this year. This site provides a number of resources for scholarships and financial aid for cancer survivors.
Center for Student Opportunity (CSO) Scholarship

Award: $2000, renewable for 4 years
Eligibility: First-generation college, limited financial resources. Ideal candidates will display the following qualities: seeking financial aid and scholarship support for college, strong writing skills and unique perspective, strong capacity for reflection for blogging, experience with or commitment to community service, leadership experience, and commitment to helping expand educational opportunities for other first-generation students. Scholarship winners are not selected based on academic qualifications such as GPA, SAT/ACT scores, or intended majors. Undocumented students are eligible to apply.

College Assistance Program (CAP, Inc.) Online Application
CAP, Inc. provides scholarships to Miami-Dade County Public School graduates who have exhausted all avenues of financial assistance (federal, state and institutional), but still have significant unmet needs to attend the college of their choice.

ChairScholars Foundation Scholarship

National Program

Available to students in every state in the continental U.S., the National Scholarship Program provides eligible high school seniors and college undergrads up to $20,000 for tuition to attend the college or university of their choice.

Florida Program

The Florida Scholarship Program is available to 7th to 11th grade students attending public school in all Florida counties. These awards provide tuition for college or vocational school with Florida Prepaid Tuition Scholarships. To date, 502 scholarship have been awarded. Call for information: 813-926-0544

Children of Divorce Scholarship

Common Knowledge Scholarships

Developed and administered at Nova Southeastern University, the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) awards scholarships to students through Internet-based quiz competitions. CKSF reward students for demonstrating what they know. There is no essay writing or long applications to complete. Students receive scholarship awards based on common knowledge and basic education curricula. Daughters of the American Revolution National Society

The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in one of the following areas: history, political science, economics, government or nursing. The DARScholarship Committee awards scholarships to qualified applicants regardless of race religion, sex or national origin. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. Federal Employee Education & Assistance Fund

FEEA has awarded more than $7 million in college scholarships exclusively to civilian federal and postal employees and their family members. Awards: More than 400 students from across 26 regions will win scholarships ranging from $250 to $2,500.

Who is Eligible?

  • Current civilian federal and postal employees with at least three years of federal service, their children and spouses
  • Dependent applicants may first apply as high school seniors
  • Dependents must be full-time students; employees may be part-time
  • Enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited post-secondary school
  • Course of study that leads to a two-year, four-year or graduate degree

Give Kids a Chance Scholarship

The Give Kids a Chance Scholarship was established by Brian McDonough, Esq. to support children of lower-income families. Scholarships are awarded to high school seniors desiring to continue their education but need additional financial assistance to do so. Gloria and Joseph Mattera National Scholarship Fund for Migrant Children

Year: Entering or enrolled in college or other types of post-secondary programs, high school dropouts or potential dropouts

Award: 100 awards of $150-$500

Eligibility: Migrant youth who have the potential and the desire to further their education to achieve their personal and career goals. Recent history of movement for agricultural employment - priority will be given to currently interstate migrant youth. Have scholastic potential, financial need, enrolled in or accepted at an accredited public or private college, technical or vocational school, or a dropout or a potential dropout from high school who shows promise of ability to continue schooling.

Notes: Applicants must submit a copy of the their current or most recent Migrant Education Program Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Students may reapply annually but are limited to one award per 12 month period.

GO! Volunteer abroad scholarship

GO! Overseas is proud to support international volunteers through our GO! Volunteer Abroad Scholarship program. Anyone participating in a volunteer program abroad is eligible to apply for the GO! Volunteer Abroad Scholarship. Scholarships are awarded each year. The scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions.
