Weekly Coffee Morning
As well as our other regular weekly activities, we’ve recently started a coffee morning on Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:30. Come along and join us for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of toast for 50p. The company is great too!
Operation Christmas Child – 1st November
On Wednesday 1st November, we will be packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Each year we pack the shoe boxes full of gifts to be distributed to children who are in need of Christmas presents. Any help that can be given to pack boxes or donations to cover the cost of sending the shoe boxes would be gratefully received.
Messy Church – 5th November and 3rd December
We meet for Messy Church on the first Sunday of every month at 3:30pm. All families are welcome to join us but we do ask that children are accompanied by a supervising adult (who is also welcome to take part in the activities). Our November Messy church takes place on Sunday 5th November where our theme will be Light and Fireworks.
Annual Church Quiz – 7th November
Our resident quiz master, Bryan Williams, will be hosting our annual quiz on Tuesday 7th November at 7pm. Tickets are available to purchase.
Annual Christmas Fayre – 18th November
On Saturday 18th November, our annual Christmas Fayre will open at 1:30pm. There will be a selection of craft stalls, toys, clothes, a tombola, a raffle, cakes, bric-a-brac and plants. As always refreshments will be available to buy from the kitchen and can be enjoyed in comfort in the Sunday school room. Look forward to seeing you there!
Circuit Service – 19th November
We will be hosting a circuit service on Sunday 19th November at 6pm. This will be a special nativity themed service led by Rev. Irfan John and his friends. It is looking to be a very enjoyable evening not to be missed!
Circuit Prayer Time – 2nd December
On Saturday 2nd December, the Circuit Prayer time will be held at Sandfields at 10:30am. We welcome everyone to join us in prayers for our churches, their work in the communities and people in need in the world.
Christmas Tree Festival – 6th – 10th December
Each of our church groups will be decorating Christmas trees which will be displayed between the 6th and 10th December. Come and visit between 10am and 12 noon or 2pm and 4pm to get a flavour of the vibrant life of our Church as we prepare for the Christmas festivities.
Action for Children Fundraising Carol Service – 8th December
Our annual fundraising carol service in aid of Action for Children takes place at 7pm on Friday 8th December. We will be enjoying singing a range of Christmas Carols and hearing about some of the incredible work carried out by Action for Children. Donations will be gratefully received during the service with all proceeds being given to this wonderful charity.
Sunday School Nativity – 17th December
The service we all look forward to! Our Sunday school will be leading our morning service sharing their own version of the Christmas story.
Church Christmas Lunch and Carol Service – 17th December
We will be visiting the Four Winds for our Christmas Lunch this year. Following this, our Church Carol Service, led by Deacon Viv Gray, will take place at 3pm.
Christmas Eve Service Decorations – 20th December
In preparation for our candlelit Christmas Eve service, we will be decorating the Church on 20th December at 10am. If you’re free, please come along and help.
Christmas Eve morning service and Candlelit Communion
There will be a normal 10am service on Sunday 24th December but no 6pm evening service. At 11pm, we will be holding a Candlelit Communion Service. Everyone is welcome to join is at this special service to celebrate the birth of Christ.
Christmas Day
At 9:00, we will be meeting for a service to celebrate Christmas Day. It’s an all age service. You’re welcome to bring along a gift you’ve had and wear your Christmas jumpers!
