Rumpke 2014 Holiday Schedule
Christmas Day 2013: Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 (Week of Dec. 22-28)
Customers with service on Monday and Tuesday will NOT be affected by Christmas.
Service will not occur on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and service will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the week after New Year’s.
New Year's Day 2014: Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 (Week of Dec. 29 – Jan. 4)
Customers with service on Monday and Tuesday will NOT be affected by New Year’s Day.
Service will not occur on Wednesday, Jan. 1, and service will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 (Week of Jan. 19-25)
No delays.
EXCEPTION: City of Columbus Residents ONLY - Residential yard waste service for City of Columbus residents will be delayed one day during the week of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
President's Day: Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 (Week of Feb. 16-22)
No delays.
EXCEPTION:City of Columbus Residents ONLY - Residential yard waste service for City of Columbus residents will be delayed one day during the week of President's Day.
Memorial Day: Monday, May 26, 2014 (Week of May 25-31)
Service will not occur on Monday, May 26, and service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week (e.g. Monday will move to Tuesday, and Tuesday will move to Wednesday, and so forth) Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.
EXCEPTION: Lithopolis Residents ONLY - Customers in Lithopolis will not be affected by the holiday.
Independence Day: Friday, July 4, 2014 (Week of June 29 - July 5)
Customers with service on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will NOT be affected by Independence Day.
Service will not occur on Friday, July 4. Friday service will move to Saturday. Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.

Labor Day: Monday, Sept. 1, 2014 (Week of Aug. 31 - Sept. 6)
Service will not occur on Monday, Sept. 1, and service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week (e.g. Monday will move to Tuesday, and Tuesday will move to Wednesday, and so forth). Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.
Exception: Lithopolis Residents Only - Customers in Lithopolis will not be affected by the holiday.
Columbus Day: Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 (Week of Oct. 12-18)
No delays.
EXCEPTION:City of Columbus Residents ONLY - Residential recycling and yard waste collection for City of Columbus residents will be delayed one day during the week of Columbus Day.
Veteran's Day: Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 (Week of November 9-15)
No delays.
Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014 (Week of Nov. 23-29)
Customers with service on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday will NOT be affected by Thanksgiving.
Service will not occur on Thursday, Nov. 29, and service will be delayed one day for the rest of the week. Thursday service will move to Friday, and Friday service will move to Saturday. Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.
