Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding a Certificate of Conformity for your vehicle.
You may appreciate Type Approval is a legal requirement for the registration of new vehicles placed on the UK/EEC market by manufacturers or their agents. We cannot make a statement on behalf of the manufacturer without consulting them, especially when that statement provides a legal document that is to be used for the purpose of registration.On receipt of your application we will be able to request this information and obtain your Certificate. This can take up to 3 weeks.

Please be aware of the following:

1.) We, The Colt Car Company,can only provide a Certificate of Conformity for vehicles first registered in the UK with a 17 digitVIN/Chassis number.
2.) The EU Directive applies to vehicles registered from 1997/98onwards.

3.) Vehicles registered before the cut off date may have a British National Type Approval Document which we can search for in our archive.
4.) Commercial vehicles will not be tested for European Type Approval and therefore will not have a Certificate of Conformity.

The following fee currently applies for a Certificate of Conformity - £120.00

Terms:

·All prices are inclusive of VAT and are non refundable.

·Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Colt Car Company Limited’’or bank transfer(please see below).

·Due to the procedures required to obtain the requested information, there will be a minimum wait of three weeks.

·All prices quoted are per individual vehicle.

·Fees are subject to review in special circumstances.

·A vehicle inspection may be necessary if there is an element of doubt concerning the vehicles compliance.
