HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER/SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Post:Human Resource Officer/Senior Human Resource Officer

Salary:Rs 19575 x 475 – 21950 x 625 – 23200 x 775 – 32500 x 925 – 37125 x 1225 – 40800.

Qualifications:(A)(a) Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least five subjects

including English Language, French and Mathematics or

Principals of Accounts obtained at not more than two sittings

Or

(b)Passes not below grade C in at least five subjects including English

Language, French and Mathematics or Principal of Accounts obtained at not more than two sittings at the General Certificate of Education “Ordinary Level” provided that at one of the sittings, passes have been obtained either (i) in five subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any two subjects or (ii) in six subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any one subject.

Note

Candidates not possessing a credit in English Language at the Cambridge School Certificate will also be considered provided they possess passes in at least two subjects at “Principal Level” and one subject at “Subsidiary Level” as well as the General Paper obtained on one certificate at the Cambridge Higher School Certificate Examinations.

(B)A Cambridge Higher School Certificate Or Passes in at least two

Subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education “Advanced Level”.

(C)A diploma in Personnel Management from a recognised institution.

OR

Equivalent qualifications to A, B and C above acceptable to the Board

Qualification at A above should have been obtained prior to qualification at B above.

Responsible to : The HR Manager

Duties: 1.To deal with all establishment/personnel matters including recruitment, appointment, promotion, retirement and training.

2. To enforce the conditions of service as specified in the Remuneration Orders applicable to the Bus Industry and thegeneral conditions of service as provided by PRB.

3. To enforce discipline at all levels of the Corporation.

4. To carry out job inspection exercises on a regular basis with a view to keeping staffing requirements under constant review.

5. To prepare statements of case relating to industrial disputes and represent the Corporation at various institutions such as IndustrialRelations Commission, Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relationsand Employment, Industrial Court and other Courts as and whenrequired.

6. To hold and attend meetings as and when required with Unions and representatives.

7. To ensure that proper and up-to-date records of employees are kept on training, leave, discipline and other personnel matters.

8. To supervise and provide guidance on personnel matters to staff ofthe Department.

9. To ensure that NTC’s Personnel policies are properly and consistently applied to all employees/Unions so as to ensure equality, consistencyand fairness to all parties.

10. To perform other duties directly related to the main duties listed above or related to the delivery of the output and results expected from the Senior Human Resource Officerin the roles ascribed according to posting.
