Practical Nursing Testing Information

PLEASE READ in its Entirety

The practical nursing pre-entrance examination test dates:

You must have a current application on file (dated 2/14/14 or later). Applications will be accepted until August 27, 2014, for this test cycle.

Testing dates are: August 28, and September 2, 3, 5, 8, 2014.

This testing is for the class that will start Core in October 2014.

Testing will startpromptlyat 9:00 a.m. and you will have a maximum of 3 hours to complete the test. Bring a picture ID and proof of test payment with you.

Please follow these steps to sign up for testing:

Step #1- come to: Choice Technical Center (Main Office)

To pay the $40.00 fee (cash or check) and select a test date (if you have previously tested be sure to pick a date over 6 months after the last test date).

Step #2-log onto your computer and go to: Click on the Create Account button to create your account. Here you will pre- register to take the test by filling in the requested information and creatinga username and password.

Write down your username and password and bring that with you on the day of the test. (You must have your username and password to take the test, so please keep it in a safe place until test day). You will receive the test Code when you check in at the testing site.

3.Step #3 –Please report to the school main office not later than 8:30a.m. on your selected test date. You will be allottedthreehours to complete the test. There are 3 sections and you will have one hour to take each section.

The Pre-Admission Entrance Examination will be administered on the Choice Technical Center Campus (CTC). Please report to the main office to wait for directions to the test site.

You may use other sources for review as well (check with your local bookstore).

The Pre-Admission Examination will test your proficiency in the following areas: Verbal Ability, Mathematics, Science, Health and First Aid.You are NOT allowed to use a calculator on the exam.

If you have previously taken an NLN test you must use the user name and password you selected for that testing. If you arrive at the test site without yourusername and password you will be required to reschedule.
