How to use the new web tool
to collaborate on capacity building for theimplementation of
the Intangible Heritage Convention

These practical guidelines have been designed to help you navigate through the new UNESCO collaborative web-tool on capacity building for the implementation of the Intangible Heritage Convention.

Please follow the steps outlined below to enjoy the functionalities, and do not hesitate to get back to us if you have any questions (contact: ).

  1. Logging in with your personal account

b)Enter the login and password provided by UNESCO (received in a private email)

  1. Overview of the capacity building pages

Once connected, you have access to three pages related to capacity-building and to an interface which allows you to edit your personal information:

  1. Updating your personal information

You can update your personal information once connected. Most of this information will remain private, and will be used only by UNESCO to be able to contact you or to facilitate the elaboration of contracts when organizing capacity-building workshops. The only fields which will be publicly available are: name/surname, working languages, portrait (optional) and short profile.

a)Click on ‘My account’ to edit the information attached to your account:

Please refer to the mock example below. If a text already exists under your “profile” entry, please check it and revise it as appropriate.

Mock example:

She has been an Associate Professor in YY University since 2007 and also has more than 10 years of experience in facilitating community-based documentation of intangible cultural heritage. She previously served as a member of the Convention’s Consultative Body.
