All PATIENT COMMENTS ABOUT SERVICES RECEIVED at Barton Family Practice

[re Question 14} If you live in the area this is your Practice! Another GP out of Barton would be unlikely to accept you.
---
A box for anonymous suggestions/questions might encourage comment from those who are unable or unwilling to identify themselves with what might be considered negative comments?
---
A true family friendly service
---
All staff professional kind and courteous.
---
Always good.
---
Always very efficient and no problems getting an appointment - well done!
---
Always very helpful.
---
Appointments easier to get when needed
---
As a full time worker I do find it difficult to get either an appointment at beginning or end of day. It’s difficult to telephone after 12 noon for the same day evening appointment. I find it better to get an appointment by coming into the surgery and speaking face to face.
---
Asking for an appointment by phone or personally is no help if all that can be offered is in two to three weeks time!!!
---
At the age of 72 I have had been under several practises when moving around the country in my work and can say with some authority that Barton Family Practice and the service it provides is the "BEST". With the new drugs and new surgery techniques we are living longer which means more stress for the doctors and staff to deal with and Barton Family Practice deals with that very professionally. In all I have only praise for them and a big well done. TC
---
Barton Practice care about you.
---
Difficult to get appointments to fit in with 9 - 5 working hours unless you give weeks notice.
---
Difficult to get suitable appointments to fit in with work. Chemist in village can’t cope with amount of prescriptions.
---
Everyone is very helpful. Thanks.
---
Excellent all the time.

---
Have always founds doctors, nurses and reception staff extremely helpful.
---
I am very happy with the service.
---
I can confirm that comparisons with the experiences of my family in other areas show that this Practice is exceptionally well organised and effective. Thank you.
---
I don't know how long the repeat prescription stays in the surgery but it can be up to 96 hours before it is ready for collection.
---
I have lived in m any parts of the UK and attended a multitude of GP practices. I can say with utmost confidence are so very lucky to have such an excellent practice here in Barton.
---
I have not had occasion to use the new land line. I hope it is better than the old system, because everything else is first class.
---
I recently attended a clinic with the nurse for over 40's to check cholesterol and general health etc. I found this very beneficial and the nurse was excellent with a very friendly manner and offered great advice. Also as a parent, we are not experts and sometimes all that is needed is a quick bit of advice and reassurance over the phone from a GP rather than having to take up valuable appointment time.
---
I think it is a superb set up and all professionals who work there are really helpful in dealing and explaining problems.
---
I would like to say how caring and professional I find your nurses, particular Sally and Eleanor, how helpful and knowledgeable they both are.
---
minor surgery
---
My husband and myself have used this practice often in the 3 years we have lived in this area, and have been served with the utmost respect and privacy. Since moving into this practice we have no complaints whatsoever!
---
Notification of flu vaccination times
---
Ok so far.
---
On the whole a very good service. I didn't know you could book app on line
---
Podiatry!!
---
Re item 4 on this form: Nobody at the Practice can tell me how to do it!
---
Re Question 14: Are you saying that people who do not live in the area could be recommended to be treated at Barton Family Practice? Because when our son moved to BoleyPark he had to leave your practice.
---
Satisfied with service.
---
Service provided generally excellent other than appointments (even double appointments) too short.
---
Some staff on the desk often are in a hurry and I haven't been given access to info. that I need.
---
Thank you for all your help. I am using the automatic renewal of prescription service and it seems to be working more efficiently.
---
The Barton Practice is in our eyes very good. Above average compared to some.
---
The medical service is first rate generally - but not invariably. The Reception Service is good.
---
The service and staff are fantastic. You come away with confidence and happy that people listen. Friendly and in my case to get an appointment in 20 minutes from phone call to seeing Dr White excellent. Thank you
---
THE SERVICE I RECEIVE IS VERY GOOD.
---
Tried on a Friday to book an appointment but there were no available appointments for over a week.

---

---
Very pleased with the whole service.
---
Very satisfied
---
We have only been in Barton for 4 years, but have seen quite a lot of improvement in the practice during that time.
---
Would be better if earlier(date) appointments were available when booking online
---
You cannot always get an appointment when the doctor has asked to see you because you can only make on the day appointments which are often taken.
---
Your ability to refer someone for physiotherapy is a joke- They just ignore you.

As a former Counsellor (30 years in the Probation Service & 14 yrs as a Bereavement Counsellor for Cruse) I am aware of the need for counselling support that would help in many cases, but my understanding is that this is a service that is not readily available, other than by referral to outside voluntary agencies. Would you consider using such voluntary experience in your surgery? If so ring me on 01283711200. I will not be offended if you feel unable to explore this offer, and don't let my age put you off!
