DOCUMENTS YOU MUST PROVIDE AT YOUR INTERVIEW

Leathermarket CBS is required by law to examine certain documents, which prove your identity, and to take photocopies of them. This is required before you start work here, and if you do not produce the necessary documents you will not be able to work for us. In order to speed up the recruitment process we ask all short listed candidates to produce these documents at interview. If you are not appointed to the post you have applied for, these documents will be destroyed. You must provide original documents, not photocopies.

You are required to produce either one of the documents set out at List 1 below, or two of the documents set out in List 2. If you produce documents from List 2, they must both be from the first combination or from the second combination. You cannot provide one document from the first and one from the second combination.

If you cannot provide the required documents we will not be able to offer you a post if you are otherwise the successful candidate.

(Any reference to a Government Department/Official Body shall be taken to include their successor).

List 1

You may provide one of the documents in this list. If you do so you will not be required to provide any documents from List 2. If you are a national from a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) you should provide a document from List 1 rather than List 2. (The countries in the EEA are shown below).

·  A passport showing that you are a British Citizen, or have a right of abode in the UK.

·  A document showing that you are a national of a European Economic Area (EEA) country or Switzerland. This must be a national passport or national identity card. A residence permit issued by the Home Office to a national from an EEA country or Switzerland.

·  A passport or other document issued by the Home Office which has an endorsement stating that you have a current right of residence in the UK as the family member of a national from a EEA country or Switzerland who is resident in the UK.

·  A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you can lawfully stay in the UK and that this endorsement allows you to do the type of work being offered by Leathermarket CBS if you do not have a work permit.

·  An application registration card issued by the Home Office to an asylum seeker stating that you are permitted to take employment.

List 2

If you cannot provide one of the documents set out in List 1, you must provide two documents from List 2. Both documents must be from either the first combination or the second combination. You cannot provide a document from each of the combinations.

First Combination

A.  A document giving your permanent National Insurance Number and Name. This could be a P45, P60, National Insurance card or a letter from a Government Agency.

B.  A full Birth Certificate issued in the UK, which states the names of your parents (or if only one parent registered, the name of that parent).

C.  A Birth Certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland.

D.  A Certificate of Registration or Nationalisation stating that you are a British Citizen.

E.  A letter issued by the Home Office to you which indicates that you can stay indefinitely in the UK, or have no time limit on your stay.

F.  An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to you with an endorsement indicating that you can stay indefinitely in the UK, or have no time limit on your stay.

G.  A letter issued by the Home Office to you which indicates that you can stay in the UK, and this allows you to do the type of work the Leathermarket CBS is offering.

H.  An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to you with an endorsement indicating that you can stay in the UK, and this allows you to do the type of work Leathermarket CBS is offering.

Second Combination

A.  A work permit or other approval to take employment that has been issued to you by Works Permits UK.

In addition to this document, you must also provide one of the following

B.  A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you are able to stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question.

C.  A letter issued by the Home Office to you confiming that you are able to stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question.

Please note that if you provide two documents from List 2 with different names on you must also provide one of the following in order to explain the change:

·  A Marrige Certificate

·  A Divorce Document

·  Deed Poll

·  Adoption Certificate

·  Statutory Decleration
