My records show you have submitted representation/s on the above and I have been asked by the Inspector to invite you to attend the relevant Hearing Session/s which will be held at the Lees Suite, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham. The preliminary schedule of Hearings,and Initial Matters to be considered are attached together with the Inspector’s Guidance Notes and the Council’s Public Notice. Please note it has not been possible to provide firm dates for each session, but when the information is available you will be notified immediately.

To assist with practical arrangements and give me an idea of the potential level of appearances at the Hearing/s it would be appreciated if you could clarify whether you have an intention to attend, and if so in what capacity, either an orator or observer. I would remind you that written representations have an equal weighting to oral representations. If you could complete the details requested on the attached form and return no later than 18 April 2011. My preference would be to respond electronically by email to or by informing me of your intentions by telephone on 07834 311040, I also enclose a pre-paid envelope if the other two options are not feasible. It would assist with further mailings if you have an email address to advise accordingly so you can be notified instantly of future developments.

The Pre-Hearing Meeting is to be held on Thursday 21 April 2011 at 2.00 p.m. in the Oldham Council Civic Centre Council Chamber. The Agenda for the Pre-Hearing Meeting is attached. Please visit the Council’s website as information and updates about the Examination will be regularly posted.

Finally the Inspector has asked me to bring to your attention the Government’s announcement of the Planning for Growth agenda in the recent budget and invites your views as to whether this may or may not affect your case and the soundness of the Development Plan Document. I enclose an attachment of the invitation.
