Qualification for all Masters events is that the competitor must be over the age of 50 years on the 1st of September 2015 or be retired as defined by the constitution of PSUK

The Police Sport UK Indoor Sports Committee has recommended that all Regional Qualifying Championships should take place by 31st January.

ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO THAT SOME EVENTS IN ALL SPORTS WILL COMMENCE PLAY ON TUESDAY EVENING THE 3rd MAY 2016. IT IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL TO BE ON SITE BEFORE 6PM

COSTS

The organising committee confirm total costs for competitors is reduced from the 2015 price and is now £243 which includes a competition entry fee, whilst the cost for all guests and officials is £208 , these costs are based on Bungalow Plus, albeit there are limited number of standard bungalows, which are at reduced rate, based on availability please ask when booking. Further, the supplement for single occupancy in Bungalows is £50.

In the event of cancellations, at minimum, the entry fee aspect of competitor’s costs is non-refundable; it is recommended that consideration be given to Insurance protection, either via Potters when booking or personally. All refunds requests must be in writing and will be at the discretion of the Committee.

Special rates are available for children under the age of 16 years. Supplements for Twin & Double room accommodation in the Hotel vary depending on the type of accommodation requested; all can be obtained via Potters when booking.

BOOKINGS AND CLOSING DATE

Entry/accommodation booking for the Championships should be made direct with Potters by telephone on 0333 3207465 and asking for designated PSUK Booking Team, who will take all necessary and required information relative to EACH PERSON ATTENDING. Payment can be made by credit card or by cheque from relevant Force.

It is highlighted that as in 2015 this is not a sole occupancy event, as Potters are also running a bowling event alongside our Championships and therefore, availability close to the event may be limited. Please consider early booking, where possible, especially to ensure specific accommodation can be secured.

Further, the Committee has negotiated a special price of £94 ( a reduction of £25 from the brochure price )per any person for those wishing to attend on Bank Holiday - Monday 2nd May 2016.

Please note this night is not part of the championships and should not be paid for by force sports clubs.

The cost breakdown, not including competitor entry fee, is as follows: -

3-night accommodation - £144

Tuesday Dinner - £16

Wednesday Lunch/Dinner - £24 (£8/£16 respectively)

Thursday Lunch/Presentation Dinner - £24 (£8/£16 respectively)

ACCESS TO CENTRE

BY ROAD

Potters Holiday and Leisure Chalet Hotel complex is located at Hopton-on-Sea, between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft off the main A12 coast road.

BY COACH

National Express run regular coach services to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, from all parts of the country, with some services stopping at Hopton-on-Sea.

BY RAIL

Rail services run regularly from London to either Lowestoft or Great Yarmouth, whilst from the Midlands and the North to Great Yarmouth via Peterborough and Norwich. Direct rail services terminate at Great Yarmouth from London, Birmingham & Liverpool.

BY AIR

The area is served by Norwich Airport, which has regular domestic flights by Air UK from several airports in both England and Scotland, be advised there is a £10 departure tax for all passengers leaving Norwich Airport.

ARRIVAL

All competitors and guests should arrive at Hopton-on-Sea between 1400 hours and 1800 hours on Tuesday 3rd May 2016

Anticipated arrivals outside this period should notify the Indoor Sports committee secretary in advance, whilst if unexpectedly delayed en route, direct telephone contact to Potters should be made on 0845 437 9890 requesting that the organisers be made aware.

The Indoor Sports Committee will operate a reception centre, with room and key allocation made in conjunction with Potters Reception staff. Dinner will be available from 1830 hours that evening.

DEPARTURE

Competitors, officials and guests should vacate rooms by 1000 hours on Friday 6th May 2016.

POTTERS HOLIDAY AND LEISURE RESORT

ACCOMMODATION

During the last two years a large number of the brick built bungalows have been upgraded to Bungalow Plus standard offering enhanced comfort, contemporary décor and furnishings. Each bungalow has flat screen TV/DVD player, Hair Dryer, Fridge, Iron with Ironing Board and tea/coffee making facilities. All detailed prices are based on bungalow plus accommodation in view of the limited number of standard bungalows available. Hotel accommodation is available with a daily supplement cost, depending on the specific grade of room.

If special requests are required concerning accommodation, please indicate to staff when booking. If you wish to extend your stay at Potters, please indicate which additional nights are required to be booked.

FACILITIES

Potters is a high quality leisure resort set within private grounds, leading down to an unspoilt beach, whilst catering for holidays with a sporting theme. In addition to the events of the championships, the venue has the following sporting facilities available: - Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Golf, Tennis, Ten-pin Bowling, Indoor and Outdoor Bowls, Squash and a Hi-Tech Fitness Studio.

The swimming pool complex includes sun beds, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam rooms, together with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools. A programme of social events is being considered for the duration of these championships. The Organising Committee extends an invitation to all competitors to take the opportunity of bringing guests with them.

All meals are waiter/waitress served and will be provided at the times stipulated on arrival. Vegetarian meals are available without prior booking. The complex has several licensed bar areas and prices are comparable with local public houses.
