GUIDANCE NOTESPlease read the following notes carefully before completing this form in block capitals or type. It may be downloaded, completed on screen, and posted or emailed to us (email is preferred).
  1. It is a condition of Class Licences WML-CL17, WML-CL18, WML-CL19 and WLM-CL20 that each Registered Person provides Natural England with a report detailing action taken under the licence (using this form) by no later than 30Aprileach year for the preceding twelve month period from 1 April and including 31 March. This report must be completed, even if no action is taken,and returned to Natural England (details above) and to the relevant Local Record Centre (visit contact details).
  1. If you fail to comply with reporting requirements then, by default, you will no longer be considered registered to act under this licence. Furthermore, failure to complete and submit a report using this form is a breach of the conditions of the licence and may mean that the licence cannot be relied upon and an offence could therefore be committed.
  1. The report is used to provide summary information to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and the European Commission. The data collected from licence reports may also be used for scientific monitoring purposes. Please see the Using and Sharing Your Informationsection in Annex A of the relevant Class Licence.
  1. The table entry for the number of bats ‘observed’ includes all bats that are disturbed (which includes batsobservedwhen using torches) in the course of surveying conducted under a licence and ‘taken’ means captured/trapped/handled and immediately released. Details on any accidental deaths or injuries which have occurred whilst using this licence must also be reported.
