What we are Learning:
For the next few weeks, we will be doing projects, singing songs, reading stories, and creating our play centers around Gingerbread Men, Reindeer, and Christmas
Encourage your child to share with you some of the songs that they are learning in school. / Things to Remember:
·  Christmas Break – December 21 – January 1. Come back to school on Monday January 4.
·  Christmas Party will be on Thursday, December 17. More info. will be coming home about this.
AM Class – 10:30
PM Class – 1:30
Things coming home:
We send things home with your child almost daily – letters, order forms, reminders, crafts, etc. Please take the time to go through your child’s backpack each day and take out these things. This will help us know that you have been informed as well as give us room to put the new stuff in. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. / Parent Moment:
We are about half way into the school year! Many of you should be seeing as big of an improvement in your child as we are seeing in them here at school. If you feel your child is not making the progress you would like to see, please feel free to talk to us about this. We will glad to offer tips on how to help them at home too. Things your child should be doing:
·  recognizing their name
·  starting to write some of the letters in their name
·  identifying and naming all basic colors
·  counting to 10
·  identifying and naming the basic shapes
·  matching colors and shapes
·  playing well with other kids

The Color Red Song
Tune: Are you sleeping
R-e-d, red
R-e-d, red
I can spell red.

The End / The Color Green Song
Tune: Row, Row, Row your boat
G-r-e-e-n
G-r-e-e-n
I know how to spell green,
G-r-e-e-n.
Caterpillars are green

“R” Rowdy the Rodeo Rat Star
Tune: Up on the Housetop Tune: On Top of Old Smokey
Rowdy the rascal was a rodeo rat, Away in the distance,
Ripping and racing in his ten gallon hat. We see from afar
Riding and roping on his ragged old cat, A bright shiny shape.
Rowdy the rascal, the rodeo rat. Could it be Stella Star?
Rosie O’Riley, all dressed up in red, Her shape is quite different
Came to his rescue or he would be dead. From any we know.
Rowdy was ready to eat some bad feed, She points five directions
‘Cause Rowdy the rodeo rat couldn’t read. From her head to her toe.
And the moral of this story, We see her up high
“If you want to read, And we see her down low.
you have to practice to succeed. At night time we see her
And you’ll be reading the rest of your days, Wherever she go.
Rowdy you rascal,
you’ll be making straight A’s!”
“C” Cathy Cook
The End Tune: The Farmer in the Dell
Good morning, Cathy Cook.
Make something good for me.
There are lots of yummy things
that start with letter “Cc”:
cookies, candy canes,
cupcakes, and a drink.
Carrots, corn and cauliflower
always make me think.
