Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to thank the parents that have signed up for Parent/Teacher Conferences. I really appreciate you securing a time for us to meet to discuss youchild's academic progress.
School dismissal times for conference week will be:
Monday, 10/19: 1:20 p.m.
Tuesday, 10/20 - Friday, 10/23: 11:50 a.m.
The students will have a snack time on Tuesday - Friday of conference week but not a lunch time. If your student gets the school lunch they will provide it to them at snack time. I encourage parents to send a hearty snack Tuesday - Friday of conference week because the students are used to eating lunch at 11:10 and may get a little extra hungry not eating lunch until after 11:50 dismissal.
On Monday your child will be bringing home a project to be completed at home for our upcoming "Where The Wild Things Are Wild Rumpus" performance on Friday, October 30th. All information about completing the project/costume and details about the performance are included. Please contact me if you have any questions.
In Language Arts we are on Lesson 7.The phonics skills focus are short i, blends with r, and -ip word endings. The comprehension skill is infer and predict.
In Math we have started Chapter 3. This chapter will cover more addition strategies. Please be sure to have your child follow the directions on the math homework because they reinforce the strategies we are studying.
We are once again in need of any Treasure Box donations. The students love everything that has been donated.
Due to first quarter testing no Rainbow Word practice lists were sent home this week.
