TO: Graduating Seniors, Pilot Point Independent School District

Dear Student:

The Pilot Point Educational Foundation is accepting applications for academic/motivational scholarships for the 2016-17academic year. As a student about to graduate from high school, you are eligible to apply.

Below is a 4-page application form. The application must be typed.You may attach a one-page resume outlining your personal activities and achievements during high school (academics, athletics, music, theater, church, community/civic, etc.) Do not include your name on your resume; your name should be in designated areas only.

Applications should be mailed to the Pilot Point Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 1289, Pilot Point, TX. 76258, and must be postmarked no later than Friday, April 21, 2017. Late applications will not be accepted. A local committee of persons not connected to the Pilot Point Educational Foundation will consider applications and award scholarships. This committee may consist of a variety of community residents, including businesspersons, educators, civic officials, church leaders, and retirees.

The application form provides you with a unique opportunity to sell yourself to the individuals making scholarship selections. Good luck and best wishes as you pursue your educational goals!

Motivational/Academic Scholarship Student Application

The Pilot Point Educational Foundation will award scholarships to deserving members of the 2017Pilot Point High School graduating class. Scholarships will be awarded to students who exhibit motivation of their academic pursuits and plans to pursue their education past high school.

Judges will be looking for applicants who are motivated to further their education. The top ranked students may or may not win—no questions are geared toward grade average or ranking. Judges are looking for students who intelligently layout their aspirations and future goals.
