General notes

Academic Eligibility – your education is our top priority. Be a good student and avoid potential problems by putting in the requisite work. DO NOT use the show as an excuse; we will not support this excuse. The directors will monitor student academic progress. Should you slip behind in a class or classes, you will be asked to spend time working on that class or with that teacher before returning to rehearsals.

Code of Conduct – we expect that students in the show conduct themselves as good citizens of Allegany-Limestone and the surrounding community. Please see attached for our code of conduct. If you have questions regarding this code, please see one of the directors.

Arrive to rehearsal early – Everyone’s time is valuable. When a rehearsal is scheduled to end at 8pm, we like it to end at 8pm. But we also need to accomplish what has been scheduled. Parents don’t like waiting in the parking lot; we don’t blame them. Starting on time ensures we can end on time.

•Off Stage Drama – If there is an issue that needs to be addressed by an adult, assume it is your responsibility to contact an adult immediately so the situation can be addressed.

•Remind– we use this as a tool for communication, including rehearsal changes. Please sign up by texting @budzkev to 81010. If you do not have a cell phone, no worries-we will use your school email!

•Seussical Wall-There is a wall outside Miss Budz’s chorus room where announcements/papers/calendars/etc will be. Be sure to check there for updates!

Conflicts/Emergencies – We understand Life happens. Should you have emergencies that result in prolonged absences, sickness, etc., we understand. In those instances, as in all instances, talk to us so we can arrive at a solution together.

By signing this form, I fully understand the expectations listed above. I understand that infractions against these expectations can result in reprimand, removal from parts of the show, and/or dismissal from the show. Any penalties will be determined by the faculty directors after full consideration of my situation.

ALMHS Musical

You, the student, shape the identity of the school musical through your actions (and inactions). In an effort to project the best possible image for the school musical – and yourselves – the creative team has established a code of conduct that we expect all participants will follow. Failure to adhere to the code of conduct can result in reprimand, removal from parts of the show, and/or dismissal from the show.

We expect that students are/have:

Committed to Academics

•Respectful… to teachers, leaders, and peers. Everyone should be allowed their feelings and opinions and heard as members of the group.

•Role Models… Students should set a positive example to peers inside and outside of the musical.

•Maturity… Students should demonstrate a willingness to address situations in an adult manner, engaging in conversation and not in accusation. Students should be accountable for their actions by accepting criticism and possible penalties, have empathy for opposing viewpoints, and give full consideration before speaking/acting.

•Helpful… to members of the musical, the school, and the greater Allegany-Limestone community.

•Organized

•Integrity… By “doing the right thing” without direction and when no one’s watching.

•Initiative… By taking action before being asked to.

•Selfless… By considering the other before oneself and losing a sense of entitlement.

•Reliable… By doing the task at hand according to the expectations of the group.
