A team of officers of Special Cell under the supervision of Sh. Ravi Shankar, ACP led by Inspector Attar Singh and Inspector Upender Solanki arrested the notorious and desperate Om Shiv @ Kallu,( aged 24 years, ) r/o Badarpur, Delhi. He is a member of Bunty biker gang and is involved in 19 sensational cases of attempt to murder, murder and robbery. A country made pistol of .315 alongwith 1 live cartridge and one stolen Esteem car have been recovered from his possession. A reward of Rs. 50,000/- has been declared by Delhi Police for his apprehension.

An information was received by Inspr. Attar Singh that Om Shiv is active in South West, Delhi. Sources were deployed to trace the movements of of Om Shiv. On 26.10.2008 specific information was received that Om Shiv would be visiting in the area of Das garden, Bapola Vihar to meet his associate in a stolen car having registration No. HR-05-P-6597. A trap was laid near on Najafgarh Uttam Nagar road. An esteem car having registration No. HR-05-P-6597 was spotted. Police signaled it to stop but instead, Om Shiv whipped out a country made pistol and tried to fire at the police team. HC Dilawar who was close to vehicle, grappled with Om Shiv and succeeded in raising the weapon towards sky and consequently shot was fired in the air. Police team immediately swooped in and over powered the gangster. On his personal search a country made pistol alongwith 1 live cartridge were recovered from his possession. The Esteem car in which he was traveling has also been seized. A case under appropriate sections of law has been registered at PS Special Cell, Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.

Om Shiv was subjected to sustain interrogation. He revealed that he is a matriculate and a good friend of Bunty’s brother Sonu. He started his criminal career in the year 2006, when he was arrested in a case of attempt to murder in the Police Station Badarpur area. Om Prakash @ Bunty helped Om Shiv financially to secure bail on the condition that he had to join his gang after the release. Later he joined Bunty gang to make quick money.

The Bunty gang created a terror in Delhi in a short span of two months. The Modus operandi of the gang was to commit day light robberies. In case of resistance or small provocation the gang shot dead their victims. Gang members used to ride on robbed motor cycles and after committing crime abandon the same. There are instances when the gang robbed a motor cycle and left the motor cycle robbed earlier.

In the month of April 2008, Om Shiv alongwith Om Prakash @ Bunty, Rajesh @ Panni, and others killed a vegetable dealer on Hapur road, Pilkhua. After this killing he was involved in spate of robberies in Delhi. In the beginning of July 2008, he alongwith his associates killed one Gurdeep @ Sonu over personal enmity. After committing murder they robbed a Pulsar bike to escape and when the rider resisted they fired at the rider. On 06.07.08 he alongwith his associate robbed a pulsar motor cycle in the area of PS Defence colony on gun point. On 11.07.08, gang members riding upon two motor cycles sandwiched a CBZ motor cycle in Lajpat Nagar area in bid to rob. When the two riders resisted their attempt they were shot dead by the gang. Gang members left the pulsar motor cycle on the spot which they had robbed earlier. On the same day, after about 15 minutes the gang members tried to rob another one pulsar motor cycle at near Andrews Ganj fly over. When a scooterist tried to help victim, he was shot dead. The next day Om Shiv alongwith his gang fired at an oil dealer in the area of PS Ambedkar Nagar and robbed him off. During this robbery a public person hit Om Shiv on his head with a cane, thus injuring him. Om Praksh @ Bunty while fleeing fired at that person. Thereafter the gang robbed two shops in community center Preet Vihar at gun point. The very next day the gang robbed a pulsar motor cycle from the area of Mayur Vihar. The gang then robbed Rs. 60,000/- from a petrol pump situated in the area of Sarita Vihar. A pulsar motor cycle was again stolen by the gang from Sai Mandir, Lodhi road. The gang robbed Rs. 45,000/- from a driver of Wagon R in Surajpur, Noida. An Indica car was robbed from DND fly over Noida. The gang used same car in robbing a Hero Honda motor cycle show room in Surajpur, Noida and escaped with a cash of Rs. 1.25 lakh. The gang robbed Rs. 1.75 lac, a gold chain and ring on a gung point, from two persons traveling in a Honda car in the area of Lajpat Nagar. The gang robbed a Zen car from Hapur road fly over, Ghaziabad. In the month of July, the gang, robbed a couple riding on a bike. They looted of their cash, mobile phone and gold bangles. During the same period the gang robbed Rs. 15 Thousand from an Electronic shop in the area of Kalkaji. On 08.08.08 gang members attempted to commit a bank robbery in Karnal, Haryana but it was foiled by the bank guard.

He was member of Om Prakash @ Bunty’s notorious biker gang which created near like havoc by committing many sensational robberies cum murders in the month of July and August this year in all over Delhi specifically in South district. This gang became a name of terror which created panic among public. Modus operandi of gang was to commit day light robberies. In case of resistance or small provocation they used to gunned down their victims. Gang members used to ride upon robbed motor cycles and they used to abandon these motor cycles after committing another robbery. Their were many instances when they robbed a motor cycle and left their motor cycle which was earlier robbed. Bunty was the robber, who alongwith his associate Rajesh @ Panni was gunned down in an encounter by the South District police.

kIDNAPPING CUM MURDER OF BUSINESS MAN AND DRIVER REPORTED AT PS kOTLA MUBARaK PUR SOLVED :THREE ACCUSED arrested: Robbed cell phone, VEHICLE recovered.

The South District police has arrested three accused involved in the abduction and murder of Mr. Ravi Jain and his driver reported vide FIR No. 233/08 U/s. 365/302/34 IPC PS Kotla Mubarak Pur and recovered the robbed cell phone and the vehicle of the deceased at their instance.

INCIDENT

On 11.10.2008, Puja Jain D/o Sh. Ravi Jain R/o Kishan Garh, Vasant Kunj Delhi reported that her father alongwith the driver Gajraj had left for Ghaziabad in their Nissan car No.DL-1CJ-4931 but did not return. He could not be contacted on his cell phone even and she suspected his kidnapping. A missing report of this incident had been lodged on 12.9.08. A Case vide FIR No. 233/08 U/s 365 IPC PS K. M. Pur was registered and investigation taken up.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION

A team under the supervision of Sh. Vikramjeet Singh ACP,Defence Colony headed by Inspr. Om Bir Singh Bhatti, SHO, K.M. Pur, consisting of SI Vijay Pal Singh, HC Choth Mal, Cts. Pratap,Surender, Mukesh, Yogesh and Sunil Dutt was constituted to work out the case.

A massive manhunt was launched for search of the victims. Her daughter was enquired about the said business deal, the records of toll bridge were thoroughly checked. Wide and extensive enquiries were made at Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Meerut and neighbouring areas where the deceased use to have business transactions.

During interrogation it was learnt that one Pankaj who was acquaintance of Mr. Jain was also supposed to accompany him for the deal. On sustained interrogation, Pankaj revealed that on 09.09.08, he alongwith his associates hatched a conspiracy according to which Mr Ravi Jain was lured by him for a business deal and making available gold at cheaper than the market rate. Due to the festive season, Mr. Jain readily agreed and left for Ghaziabad. Pankaj met Mr. Jain at Ghaziabad, accompanied him in his car and took him to a Banquet Hall at Ghaziabad where the other accused were already waiting. All the accused had already planned to rob Mr. Jain by taking him hostage and withdrawing money by using his Debit/Credit Cards. As per plan, Pankaj took Mr. Jain inside the Banquet Hall for the deal while the driver Gajraj was waiting outside in the car. Once Mr. Jain was inside the Banquet Hall, he was over powered by the accused already present there and his mouth was taped with surgical tape. After some time Pankaj also called Driver Gajraj inside the Banquet Hall and he was also taped. However due to stiff resistance and asphyxia, Mr. Jain got unconscious and Gajraj died. The accused disposed the dead bodies by dumping them in the Gang Nahar near Murad Nagar. Pankaj drove down to Delhi along with the vehicle of Mr. Jain and parked it in the parking of Palika and left.

Following the disclosure, sources were deployed and continuous raids were conducted in and around Delhi and the two other accused were arrested. The robbed mobile phone of driver Gajraj has been recovered from the possession of accused Shahnawaz.

GANG OF FRAUDSTRS INVOLVED IN FORGING AND PREPARING FAKE IDs OF SENSITIVE GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS BUSTED

With the arrest of three accused namely (i) Zia-ur-Rehman aged 23 years slo Mohd. Moiz Alam rlo H.No.TA-4/3, Clo Zakira Parveen, Tughlakabad Extension, New Delhi; (ii) Anis-ur-Rehman aged 23 years s/o Mohd. Rafiuddin rlo H.No.44-A clo Shri S.S. Rana, Village Munirka, New Delhi; and (iii) Mohd. Qumar UI Zama aged 21 years slo Mohd. Abdul Gaffar rlo H.No.TA4/3, Clo Zakira Parveen, Tughlakabad Extension, New Delhi, the South District Police have busted a gang of fraudsters who were forging ID cards of sensitive government departments causing great threat to national security.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST

On 20.10.2008, an alert Cyber Cafe' owner who was sensitized under the "Eyes and Ears" scheme informed the police of Police Station Vasant Vihar that a person was using cyber cafe' in odd hours in a suspicious manner. He further informed that he kept a watch on his activities and when that person asked him to enable USB Drive for copying his work in pen drive as all the computers USB Drives were disabled. While activating the drive he copied the file to the computer for record. Later on, he checked the same and found that the person had prepared fake ID cards of government officials using photo shop software. Accordingly, he passed the information to the beat HC Giri Raj and Constable Ajay, who immediately brought the matter to the notice of senior officers. Keeping in view the sensitivity of the matter, a team consisting of Inspr. Atul Kumar, SIs Anil Sharma, Neeraj, HC Giri Raj and Constable Ajay under the leadership of Inspr. P.S. Chahal, SHO/Vasant Vihar and supervision of ACP/Vasant Vihar Mr. Mohd. Ali geared up its resources and developed the information. The team did an extensive work and launched a massive manhunt for the search of suspect. The team searched the addresses given by the accused at the time of working at the internet, but the same were found to be fake. Then the team verified the PAN Card details provided by the Anis in the Cyber Cafe' as proof of ID, but during verification from Income Tax authorities the same address was also found to be fake.

The team did extensive work by using technical data and zeroed in on the suspect in the Munirka. The police also verified the data provided by the suspect i.e. I.Card of School of Open Learning, DelhiUniversity and all the Cyber Cafe of Munirka and its adjoining areas were searched thoroughly, but he could not be traced. Thereafter, house to house search was carried out in the nearby areas and several traps were laid with the Cyber Cafe owner and raids were conducted on all possible hideouts. Finally, on 26.10.2008, the hard work of police team paid rich dividends when Anis-ur-Rehman was arrested and photo copies of six fake Identity Cards of sensitive govt. departments alongwith one mobile phone and two SIM cards were recovered from his possession. During interrogation, role of two other persons namely Zia-ur Rehman and Mohd. Qumarul Zama was also established and they were also arrested and huge recoveries photo .copies of fake I.Cards empty envelopes bearing the slips of SIM cards procured by using fake documents from direct sale agencies.

INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, it was revealed that accused Zia urRehman and Mohd. Qumarul Zama were working as sales executives in DSA of leading mobile operators of India. During their work exposure, in order to make fast money they hatched a criminal conspiracy to procure maximum connections from DSAs by using fake IDs generated through computer expertise. When Zia ur Rehman contacted his old associate who had developed expertise in computer added designing and was roped in their criminal conspiracy. In pursuance to the same, they were finding it difficult to get the genuine connections for their respective DSA Zia ur Rehman and Mohd. Qumar ul Zama used to procure fake particulars and on the basis of the same Anis ur Rehman by using his expertise used to make fake IDs which was in turn used for procuring the sim cards. During the last one month, they have procured over 100 connections on the basis of these forged documents and supplied the same to their accomplices, which resulted into a serious security lapse as well as heavy financial losses to the mobile operators.
