There will be a vote at the March general meeting to make official the discussion started at January’s general meeting. Everyone there was invited to the January officer’s meeting were a motion was made, seconded and after much discussion was passed by more than 78% of your brother Knights in attendance.
Life’s Connection is a pro-life organization that our council has supported even before they were in Mukwonago, when the Women’s Center requested our support to invest in the first ultra sound machine. No one knew how we were going to manipulate our funds to cover this step of faith and we were able to cover it without moving money from the corporation account.
The next request came from Life’s Connection proper for our assistance in financially supporting the 3D ultra sound machine currently right here in Mukwonago. We took another leap of faith and contributed to the cause with the assistance of funds from the corporation account.
We have been asked for a contribution that would go beyond a simple piece of equipment and involves an actual location. We have agreed to contribute $35,000.00 to Life’s Connection from our charity account as well as our corporate funds. This amount is limited to the location being sought for purchase in the city of Waukesha only blocks away from Carol University, downtown Waukesha and most importantly Planned Parenthood!
Please attend the March general meeting to have any questions answered as we move forward for a vote to officially accept, as a council, our contribution to the weapon needed to defend pro-life in Waukesha County.
