Lt. Col. Mark McGeehan Character Award / Overview - The purpose of the Lt. Col. Mark McGeehan Character Award (MMCA) is to distinguish a leader of the graduating class and to remember a former Oak Glen student, Mark McGeehan. The graduating senior should be a leader in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the hallway. This year’s winner will be awarded $3,000.00 toward college expenses.
Applications are currently open for the 2017-2018 school year. All required material must be postmarked by May 1st, 2018.

Tony Ruszkowski / Never Alone Memorial Scholarship / Given yearly to students who success in the face of addiction. Tony, a Weir High graduate was killed in an alcohol-related car accident after struggling with his own addiction for many years. His family has partnered with Never Alone WV to sponsor the scholarship and honor thosestudents who have struggled with their own addiction or that of someone in their life. / 2/5/18 / Return completed application to school counselor – Ms. Garner by April 6, 2018 to be sent to the committee by counselor.
