GANG OF MOBILE THIEVES/ PICK POCKET BUSTED

With arrest of four persons the police of PS Badarpur, South-East Distt has busted a Gang of mobile thieves/Pick-Pockets and recovered 45 mobile phones from them.

INCIDENT:

On 01-01-09, on receipt of secret information regarding a gang of mobile thieves/pick pockets, a team comprising Insp. V.P. Dahiya, SHO/ Badarpur, S.I. Girjesh Singh, HC Sanjay, Ct. Harender, Ct. Mahesh, Ct. Yogesh, Ct. Vivekanand was constituted under the supervision of Sh. V.S. Pundir, ACP/Sarita Vihar. 4 Members of Amit @ Pichku gang including the gang leader who were operating in blue line buses from Badarpur to Punjabi Bagh were apprehended from Mathura Road, Badarpur on the basis of information received under Ears and Eyes Scheme from the stakeholder. A mobile phone reported stolen in case FIR No. 1/09 u/s 379 IPC PS Badarpur was recovered from Amit @ Pichku.

INTERROGATION:

During the interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that they used to board crowded buses during peak hours. The ‘thekbaz’ used to ‘search’ the passengers and use “thek” to divert their attention. In the meantime one of the members used to pick out mobile phones, purses etc. and hand them over to the other member. Carrier of mobile used to get down from bus at next stop. The gang is professional and all the members arrested have previous involvements.

44 more stolen mobile phones were recovered at their instances which were kept at separate places. The owners and receivers are being identified.

THREE CHEATS ARRESTED : FAKE I.D. CARD RACKET BUSTED

With the arrest of three accused persons namely (1) Vikas Kumar, (age 38 years) r/o New Moti Nagar Delhi, (2) Rajesh Kumr (age 35 years) r/o Dabri Ext. Delhi and (3) Deepak Gupta (age 24 years) r/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi,South-West Distt. Police has busted a gang of cheats vide FIR No. 758/08 u/s 420/467/471/120B/34-IPC PS Dabri Delhi.

In view of recent instances of use of fake I/D proofs by terrorists the staff was sensitized to keep a watch on these aspects. They were also directed to develop information made in “eyes & ears” scheme if anyone is indulging in such activities. Due to concerted efforts information was received under “eyes & ears” scheme that a gang actively involved in making fake I/D proof of individuals is operating in P.S. Dabri area.

On 30/12/08 around 3.10 PM a secret information received about the presence of such gang involved in preparing forged documents. A team was constituted comprising SI Akhilesh Bajpai, Ct. Kalu Ram No. 1606/SW, Ct. C.L. Meena No. 1554/SWCt. Chet Ram No. 1397/SW, Ct. Meghan Singh No. 1487/SW under the close supervision of Inspr. Abhinendra Jain, SHO/Dabri. They were briefed about the information and Ct. Kalu Ram was given 8 hundred Rupees currency notes (duly signed) after proper instructions. Ct Kalu Ram along with Ct Meghan Singh followed secret informer to ascertain veracity on the information. They reached near Shiv Main market where on the identification of secret informer one Rajesh was contacted. Ct. Kalu Ram struck a deal for getting a fake voter I/Card at a cost of rupees 800/- with Rajesh. After some time his two other partners namely Vikas Kumar Kashyap & Deepak Gupta handed over a fake election I/Card bearing Kalu Ram’s photo, having false name & address. On detection of this, all the three were apprehended by SI Akhilesh Bajpai’s team and the amount paid in this deal was recovered.

During course of investigation computer, printers. PEN Drives and fake I/D’s documents have been recovered. The arrested person’s details are being verified in the case. Vikas Kumar, a graduate from DelhiUniversity, used to file income tax returns along with Deepak Gupta, a matriculate and use to sell fake ID cards. Rajesh Kumar used to work as agent for the other two and used to lure customer for them.

Further investigation is on.

BOOTLEGGER ARRESTED:

LARGE QUANTITY OF PREMIUM SCOTCH WHISKY RECOVERED

The South District Police has arrest one bootlegger namely Deepak Sonkar age 26 years s/o Kishan Lal r/o 565, Gali No. 3, Military Road, Punjabi Basti, Anand Parbat, Delhi. He was at cutting edge of a huge racket involved in Blending and Packaging of cheaper whiskies which were later sold as high and Scotch Whiskies.

INCIDENT

On 01.01.2009 at about 12.45 AM, secret information was received about the transportation of illicit liquor. Accordingly, a team headed by Inspr. Pankaj-SHO Saket accompanied by Insp. (Law & Order) Ishwar Singh, SI Gagan Bhaskar, SI Praveen Kumar and Const. Shiv Daan was constituted. The team noticed suspected TSR No. DL-1R K-7131 at the barricades, which was going toward J-Block, Saket (PVR Complex), the said TSR was stopped and searched. 34 bottles of Gold Label of cost Rs. 5000/- each and 12 Bottles Black Label cost of Rs. 2500/- each was recovered. The said TSR was hired by the accused Deepak Sonkar to supply these bottles to various high end restaurants/Bars/ Pubs in Saket, G.K-II and other areas. A case vide FIR No. 01/2009 u/s 61/1/14 Excise Act dated 01.01.2009 was registered at PS Saket and accused Deepak Sonkar was arrested and TSR was also seized .

Officials of Johney Walker & Company have also been contacted to inform them about sale of fake whiskies as genuine products which are largely in demand under the label of Black Label and Gold Label.

Further investigation is in progress.
