Ohio Middle School athletics participation allows students in grades 7 and 8 only.

August 2017
1 – Volleyball try-outs begin 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
1 – Football practice/conditioning begins 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
1 – Cross Country conditioning begins 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
9 – Office opens 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
21 – W.E.B. training – for 8th grade WEB leaders 8-2
21 – first Home Volleyball games: 7th gr at 4:15, 8th gr at 5:15
22 – W.E.B. training – for 8th grade WEB leaders 8-2
23 – 6th grade WEB Orientation 7:25 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Parents may join us for lunch at noon.
Busses will be running; check district website for times & locations.
23 – Football home game 4:15 on Northwood field
24 – Volleyball home games: 8th gr at 4:15, 7th gr at 5:15 p.m.
30 - Football home game 4:15 on Northwood field
September 2017
4– Labor Day – No School
5 – First day of school for all students; homeroom begins at 7:25.
Homeroom lists will be posted on the front door 9/1.
6 – Football Ely stadium game vs. E. Heights at 4:15
7 – Volleyball home games – 8th gr plays first at 4:15
7 - Open House 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come see Northwood, meet teachers, and
learn about Parent Portal if you are not already using this great tool.
11 - Picture Day – all students will have pictures taken for I.D. badges
Date to be deterimined – Fall sports pictures (cross country, cheerleading, football, volleyball)
12 - Football Ely stadium game vs. Westwood at 4:15
20 - Football home game 4:15 on Northwood field
26 – Students with missing required immunizations will be excluded from school.
26 – All forms due in office, including Free/Reduced lunch
27 - Volleyball home games – 8th gr plays first at 4:15
October 2017
2– Parent meeting for 8th grade Washington D.C./ Colonial
Williamsburg trip in the gym 6:30 p.m.
3– Candle fundraiser for D.C. trip begins
4 - Volleyball home games – 8th gr plays first at 4:15
4 - Football home game 4:15 on Northwood field
5 - Volleyball home games – 8th gr plays first at 4:15
13 – NEOEA Day – no school for staff or students
16 – last day of DC candle fundraiser – all orders and money due in office
19 – Cheerleading team party 2:30-3:15 p.m.

24 - Picture Retakes first thing in morning

15 – Martin Luther King Jr Day – No school

Please be sure to update emergency card information online
at infosnap as per directions in letter mailed home
with report cards in June as soon as possible.
Hard copy emergency cards will NOT be sent home this year.
