CONTRACT FOR SPACE

This reservation for exhibit space is subject to acceptance by the Municipal Association of South Carolina (hereafter referred to as the Association) on or before Thursday, August 6, 2015, and upon such acceptance will constitute a contract to use the space assigned.

1.Character of Exhibits. The Association reserves the right to decline or prohibit any exhibit or part of an exhibit or restrict any activity or conduct within the exhibition area(s) which in its opinion is not suitable. No exhibitor will be allowed to play music or prepare food in their booths (including popping popcorn or serving alcohol).

2. Payment for Space. Payment of the total rental charges for exhibit space along with the executed contract must be received by the Association on or before Thursday, August 6, 2015.No cancellation or refund can be made after that date.

3. Exhibitor Registration. Exhibit booth fee is $100, and two representatives, designated on the reverse side of this contract, will receive complimentary meeting registrations. Additional meeting registrations may be obtained at $75.

4.Subletting of Space. No exhibitor shall assign, sublet, or apportion the whole or any part of the space purchased, or permit any other party to exhibit therein without written permission from the Association.

5.Installation and Dismantling. Exhibits may be installed between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015. All exhibits must be removed by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The Association will not accept or sign for any deliveries. A company representative must be present when packages are delivered.

6.Liability. The exhibitor assumes responsibility and agrees to indemnify and defend the Association and the Columbia Conference Center and their respective employees and agents against any and all claims or expenses arising out of the use of the exhibition premises. The exhibitor understands that neither the Association nor the Columbia Conference Center maintains insurance covering the exhibitor’s property, and it is the sole responsibility of the exhibitor to obtain such insurance.

7.Equipment and Supplies. The Association will furnish each exhibitor with a 6-foot skirted table and chair.Wireless Internet is available at no additional cost. Please let the Association know if you will need electricity at your booth.

8.Exhibitor Schedule. Exhibit Showcase opens on Thursday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. Due to space restrictions, no more than two exhibit personnel will be permitted in the booth area at a time.NOTE: Registrants must get exhibitor cards signed by exhibitors to be eligible for SCASM door prize drawings. Exhibitor cards will be provided by the Association.

9. Door Prizes.We encourage exhibitors to bring an item to be given away in a prize drawing at the end of the last session at 2 p.m.(Note: To increase traffic in the exhibit area, participants must get exhibitor cards signed by each exhibiting sponsor to be eligible for the door prize drawing.)
