STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Stefani Gauthier

Stefani is a senior at PMHS and is graduating with her class in June. During the first semester of the school year, Stef took Intro to Psychology, a dual credit class offered through White Mountain Community College.

Why did you opt to take a dual credit class?

“I took a dual credit class because I wanted to get both high school and college credit and it is more cost effective to take it through the school. Many degree programs now require Psychology as a class, so it just made sense.”

Did you like the online platform? If so, what did you like about it?

“Yes, I did like it. It was really easy to follow and very consistent, I always knew where to find everything.”

Did you like your instructor?

“I really liked my teacher, she was very encouraging, graded all of our assignments on time and gave great feedback.”

Did you find this class to be challenging?

“Absolutely, it was one of the toughest classes I have taken.”

Would you be open to taking another online class?

“Oh, yes, I would definitely be open to that. This particular class and set up worked very well for me and I felt comfortable with it, so yes, it was a good experience for me.”

Stefani will be attending NHTI in the fall of 2014 where she will be taking General Education classes towards her nursing degree.

Stefani took her dual credit class with a full schedule of other classes on top of being a three-sport athlete.

Way to go Stef, good luck to you in all your future endeavors!
