Present at the meeting were; Bob Meakin, Bill Berry, Gary Storms and Wayne Zimmer Bert Mead, Jared Quillen, Dan Worden and Dale Stockton.
Election of officers is to be done by February 26th. All paid up members will be receiving the newsletter by snail mail this month with a ballot to fill out and return to Jared Quillen by the seminar. If you are attending, bring it with you and turn it in before noon. Results will be announced before the end of the day. Jared’s address is on the bottom of the ballot.
Bob read treasurers report and it was accepted.
Note; The dues go up to $50 starting the first of March this year. Renew early and save yourself $15.
The deadline for submitting advertising in the Seminar manual is February 12th .
We still need more response for questions for Lou Berchielli about the new licensing regulations. Everyone must be completely satisfied and understand what they are by the response so far.
Gary suggested we send $500 to California NWCO’s to help them in their legal fight with the State to get the law changed to allow NWCO’s to do some types of nuisance animal removal and exclusion without having to get a pest control license. After some discussion we voted to do it, Bob Meakin presented the check to Bob Merrifield at the WCT/NWCOA Seminar.
Bert Mead reviewed and categorized our goals to review at the next meeting.

From I-90 exit 37
Turn left on Electronics Parkway, go 6 tenths of a mile and turn right on Old Liverpool Road, Wisteria is on the left.
From 81 North, exit 24A, stay left on the exit ramp to get on 370 N. Take 370 N to Liverpool. Just before the traffic light entering Liverpool, turn right on Oswego Street, the Wisteria is on the right a few hundred feet after merging on Oswego St.

Some of us just returned from the WCT/NWCOA Seminar, those of you who didn’t have the opportunity to go and learn the wide variety of useful information don’t know what you missed. You also missed the 70 degree weather and lots of sunshine.
There were over 150 attendees from nearly every state and several Canadian Provinces,
There was a demo on electrical safety by Tim Christie who lived through an electrical accident but lost both hands and one foot. His demo could have lasted much longer than it did, he had much more important information but time ran out.
Dr. Stan Gehrt opened many of our eyes about urban coyotes and how they interact with people.
Our own Gary Storms and Bob Evans presented excellent demos on odor control and controlling stinging insects.
Especially interesting were the tips and tricks presented by John Consolini, he presented tips on catching mountain beaver and beaver. Rex Helton, brought the chimney viewing camera he uses to see what the noises are in customers chimneys, and Tim Julien who showed us pictures of his research and development facility, then how to catch raccoons without bait.

1. Pay dues as set by the Governing Board.
2. Be active and provide input into the workings and activities of the Association.

Code Of Ethics
1. I affirm my strict adherence to all laws and regulations pertaining to wildlife damage management.
2. I ascribe to a professional code of conduct that embodies the traits of honesty, sincerity and dedication.
3. I will show exceptionally high levels of concern and respect for people, property and wildlife.
4. I will promote the understanding and appreciation of the numerous values of wildlife and scientific wildlife management, as well as an appreciation for the economic and health concerns of humans adversely affected by wildlife.
5. I will be sensitive to the various viewpoints on wildlife damage management.
6. I will provide expertise on managing wildlife damage to my clientele upon request, within the limits of my experience, ability and legal authority.
7. I will promote competence and present an image worthy of the profession by supporting high standards of education, employment and performance.
8. I will strive to broaden my knowledge, skills and abilities to advance the practice of commercial wildlife damage management.
9. I will, in good faith, select new or time proven methods for resolving wildlife damage conflicts and give due consideration to humaneness, selectivity, effectiveness and practicality.
