How Do I Sign in to the WMLA Licensing Portal for the FIRST time?

  1. If you are an existing licensee (you have executed a PlayReady or Windows Media agreement with WMLA) click “Sign In” at the WMLA Licensing Portal Home Page displayed in Figure 1.

  1. To enter the portal you will need to sign in using a Microsoft account, shown in Figure 2. The Microsoft account is the same ID used by Windows Live, MSN®, and Microsoft® Passport sites. If you do not currently have a Microsoft account, you can sign up for a free account at Please note that we do not manage passwords for Microsoft accounts. If you are having trouble with your account or have forgotten your password then please visit the Microsoft Account Help page.

  1. After a successful sign in you will need to provide information to associate your Microsoft account with your company’s license agreement. Follow the instructions displayed on the page, shown in Figure 3. You will only need to associate your Microsoft account with your License Agreement once.

  1. After you successfully sign in you will be directed to the homepage of the WMLA Licensing Portal as shown in Figure 4.

How Do I Sign in to the WMLA Licensing Portal as a RETURNINGUser?

Note: If your company is not a current PlayReady or Windows Media Licensee there is nothing for you to review on the WMLA Licensing Portal therefore you will not be able to sign in.
