REQUEST FOR

NEW PRODUCT INFORMATION

1 Form, 3 Reasons

The Information you send will be used for the following:

1)New Product Showcase Area in Galleria Lobby

2)Toronto Boat Show Website – “What’s New and Hot” Section

3)Publicity Opportunities with Media

We want to tell CONSUMERS & MEDIA about your New Products – this is FREE PUBICITY & EXPOSURE FOR YOU.

1) “NEW PRODUCT SHOWCASE” FEATURE

A 4400 square foot feature area in the Galleria Lobby entrance is carpeted, decorated, and signed to showcase what is NEW in the recreational boating industry and at the show! Exhibitors who have a new product, model or service are able to take advantage of this FREE EXPOSURE.

The feature area will consist of EVERYTHING NEW – boats, engines, accessories, electronics, and services!

  • Submit information for as many of your new products as you wish – as long as it is a NEW PRODUCT OR SERVICE!

What is considered a “new” product or service?

  • Boat brands, accessories, electronics, etc - that have NEVER been in the Toronto Boat Show before (first time in 2006)
  • New boat model introductions for the year 2006
  • New & Innovative Products/Services introduced for the 2006 year (product was not available at the 2005 show or for the 2005 boating season)
  • Winners of Industry’s Innovation Awards in the past Year

How will everything be displayed in this feature area?

  • The Toronto Boat Show creates a carpeted, decorated feature area with display cases and tables for smaller product, plus New Product Showcase signage describing EACH item, the Company Name and Booth # where the product can be found in the show.
  • A sampling of the new boats, new boat models or larger product (engines, docks) will be part of the display and displayed on the floor, on trailer, boat dollies or blocks supplied by the exhibitor.

What size boats or product can fit through the doors and into the Galleria Lobby?

  • There are two doors to access the Galleria Lobby. The one located by Hall A is 93” high x 93” wide. The one located at the East end of Hall D is 14’8” high x 9’6” wide. Your boat or product MUST be able to fit through one of these door dimensions in order to be considered for display in the Lobby.

How will it be determined who’s boats are selected to be on display?

  • Depending on how many boats apply for Lobby space – a random draw will be held to select boats representing a variety of products.

What if we have a new boat, new boat model or product we want represented but it cannot fit through the door? What if our boat can fit through the door but is not randomly selected to be on display?

  • We will still promote your New Product and ask that you send 1) HIGH-RES electronic art file or 2) two CDs or two copies of literature. We will mount what you send, along with the New Product Showcase signage provided by the show - directing them to your display!

What if we have a new product (engine, accessory, electronic, service) – but have only one and we need it in our display?

  • We will still promote your New Product and ask that you send 1) HIGH-RES electronic art file or 2) two CDs or two copies of literature. We will mount what you send, along with the New Product Showcase signage provided by the show - directing them to your display!

2) SHOW WEBSITE: “WHAT’S NEW & HOT” SECTION

The Toronto International Boat Show continues to build its website with information to help prepare consumers and media for their visit to the show. What you send to us for the New Product Showcase will also be used on the show’s website – “What’s New and Hot Section!”

3) PUBLICITY OPPORTUNITIES WITH MEDIA

Each year the Toronto Boat Show’s PR TEAM is asked over and over by media – “What’s New?” Exhibitors who have benefited from the show’s PR efforts in the past are aware of how effective show publicity can be for their business. Our extensive publicity campaign reaches hundreds of influential journalists and broadcasters eager to learn what’s new in the industry and at the Toronto Boat Show. What you send us for the New Product Showcase will also be used for the show’s PR efforts! Holmes Communications staff will work to gain exposure for new products and services so it is imperative to send your information in order to capitalize on opportunities.
