Saoirse Nic Giobúin is organising a walk in aid of Pieta House West, Suicide and Self-Harm Crisis Centre.
The 5K walk will take place on Saturday morning, April 20th. Registration will take place at Tourmakeady Hall at 4.30 am. Adults €10, Students & OAPs €5.
Walkers are asked to please wear a hi-vis jacket and to bring a lamp as we walk from dark to light. Please support this very worthy cause and spread the word.

First Holy Communion will be celebrated in our parish on Sunday May 12th @ 10a.m in Partry Church & 11.30a.m in Tuar Mhic Éadaigh church. Please offer a special prayer intention for those preparing for First Eucharist.
Next Sunday April 21st is a Day of Prayer for Vocations. A special prayer card will be available for every home as part of our family prayer for vocations.
Trocaire Lenten Appeal: Thank you for your support I will be forwarding the proceeds this week when the last amounts are added. So far 2,552 has been raise.
Tuam Diocese: Future of serving of Parishes in the Archdiocese of Tuam was published 3 years ago. New draft proposals are being drawn up for 2013-2020 A copy outlining the DRAFT is available at the back of the church. (One sticking statistic is that since 2005—33 priests have died in the Archdiocese of Tuam) The proposed new grouping during th coming years will include Kilmaine-Ballinrobe-Roundfort-Partry with Three Priests serving Four Parishes. The Emigrants Farewell - a show fromAtlantic Rhythm Productions which was received so well in Thuar Mhic Éadaigh will be on at the Royal Theatre, in Castlebar on Friday 19th April Doors open 7.00pm Show 8.00pm . Many people contacted us after the show in Tourmakeady this is reminder and another opportunity to see the show.
Tuar Mhic Éadaigh Schools Gathering Ireland 2013 – pupils, family and friends are invited to join us in events taking place over the 3 day Whit weekend. Friday, 31st May in Tourmakeady Hall, dinner with wine, dancers from Atlantic Rhythm, and dancing to live music, full bar. Tickets €25 each. Saturday 1st June visit to the schools, followed by a visit to a working hill sheep farm, evening entertainment at Marie Luke’s. Sunday 2nd June Community Open Day with demonstrations of past traditional activities, memorabilia, entertainment, a barbeque and bouncy castle.
