Notes from the last meeting held on 14th February 2012were taken as read, approved by the council and signed by the chairman.
ITEM No 4 – POLICE MATTERS / 40/12
Cllr Web informed council of the theft of down pipes from the Church at Gedney and also of vandalism inside the church to a memorial. The Police are aware of these incidents.
Catalytic converters have been stolen in the Gedney Drove End area; again these matters have been reported to the police.

ITEM No 6 – QUESTIONS ON DISTRICT COUNCILORS REPORT
There was no report this month nor was the District councillor present.
ITEM No 7 - CLERKS REPORT
All correspondence from the February meeting has been dealt with.
The medals for the Queens Diamond Jubilee have been delivered.
Seven Grass cutting tender packs have been sent out so far.
The bin at the cemetery has been emptied.
District Cllr Wilkinson has been contacted requesting her help with the road chippings problem in Gedney Dyke.

ITEM No 10 – TO DISCUSS PLAY/OPEN AREAS
The slide was discussed, Cllr Roscher proposed topsoil be added to mound to alleviate the ongoing problem and seed area in autumn, this was seconded and RESOLVED.
ITEM No 11 – TO DISCUSS CEMETERY MATTERS
Cllr J Piggins reported to council that the hedge around the garden of remembrance was not looking too healthy following the bad winter.

ITEM No 13 – HIGHWAYS & FOOTWAYS
a. Update on outstanding matters:
  1. New matters to report:
Horses being ridden on footpath from Dawsmere Rd to Main Rd, Gedney Drove End, clarification on the status of path needed – clerk to deal.
Footpath No7 from Roman Bank Gedney Dyke has not been reinstated again following ploughing –clerk to report.
Cllr Roscher reported a number of brown directional signs for Fenland Airfield being stuck onto highways signs, clerk to find out if they are official or fly posted.
Work carried out on Lutton Bank in February that required a road closure and diversion was started a day earlier than displayed and caused major disruption to school traffic. Cllr Web to look into this.
ITEM No 14 – TO DISCUSS “CONFLICTS OF INTEREST” PROPOSED BY CLLR HUTCHISON
Following a discussion it was proposed by Cllr Hutchison that in future any reply from the council should only be sent by the clerk, this was seconded by Cllr Webb and RESOLVED.
