“Future Educator”
Scholarship Application
Guidelines:
The McHenry County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship will be awarded to a McHenry County resident high school senior attending a McHenry County public high school to recognize his/her scholastic abilities, community contributions and commitment leading to a degree in education.
This is a $1000 one-time scholarship to be awarded after the successful completion of one college semester. At least three scholarships will be awarded each year. The applicant must have 2 letters of recommendation: one from a school personnel and one from someone familiar with the applicant’s out-of-school participation in the community.
Scholarship awards will be presented at the high school Honors Assembly whenever possible. Each winner and a guest will be invited to the June meeting of the McHenry County Retired Teachers Association. For any questions, please contact Mary Noe at 815-923-2409.
Application procedure:
1. Complete application form as directed.
2. Attach at least 2 letters of recommendation as described in Guidelines.
3. Attach an official seventh semester transcript to application.
4. Return completed application to address listed below no later than the postmark date of
March 15, 2016.
