Pale crepe rubber
1. PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
Product name: Pale crepe rubber
Product description: This is prepared by removing most of the non-rubber substances including yellow pigments by fractionation process, from natural rubber latex and then, by acid coagulation of fractionated latex. Coagulated rubber is milled into laces and then dried in warm air before making pale crepae. This is the purest form of natural rubber and the product is water white in colour.
Intended use: Raw material for dry rubber based products and adhesives

3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Health: The product contains no hazardous substances and extractable protein levels are not significant for allergic reactions
Fire:The product burns and is not inflammable. It does not emit any toxic gases on fire
Environment: The product is not considered dangerous for the environment
4. FIRST-AID MEASURES
No specific measures are needed
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing media: suitable media; water spray, foam or carbon dioxide
Hazards combustion products:no hazardous products, smoke may contain carbon
monoxide.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
No accidental release measures are required. If molten rubber contacts with skin, wash off with cool water or stream of water
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Avoid exposure to moisture, heat and direct UV rays as it becomes sticky. Exposure to heavy metals causes to degrade rubber faster. During processing and thermal treatment, provide adequate ventilation since small amount of volatile hydrocarbon may be released
Storage: Store in a cool and dry place with proper ventilation but no exposure to direct sun light. Avoid damp places as this absorbs moisture quickly and possibility of growing grow fungus on the rubber

No special exposure controls are neededfor personnel protection

Physical appearance: Rubbery/flexible sheets consist of several plies of laces
Colour: Water white
Odour: No odour
Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents
Glass transition temperature (Tg): - 69 0C
Reactivity: slowly become hardening due to aldol condensation type reactions taking place during storage
Density: 0.91 g/cm3
10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
The product is generally stable. Oxidize at high temperature and when espouse to UV radiation. Metal ion contamination catalyses the oxidation process

This product is not considered toxic for human health.

This product is considered not dangerous for the environment
13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Bio-degradable. Slowly degrade at environmental conditions.

Pale crepe is packed with polythene wrap or as at buyers’ request

This is intended for use in the manufacture of dry rubber based products, particularly tyre production. Customers should do their own testing, before using in commercial scale, to see the suitability for the intended application.
