College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services
Student Ambassador Program
Did you ever wish you could become more involved with CECH?
Well, here’s your chance!
The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) is seeking intelligent, dedicated, independent, hard-working individuals like yourself to join its Ambassador Program.
The Student Ambassador Program is an organization whose diverse members have a clearly defined mission. They represent CECH at the University of Cincinnati by assisting with the recruitment and retention of students in the college. Through a variety of activities, both on and off campus, CECH Student Ambassadors provide a valuable service by representing the student perspective of university life to prospective and new students, and may serve as mentors for incoming freshman students.
The group is also a service organization for the advancement of the relationship between the current students, alumni, prospective students, faculty, and friends of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. This may be achieved through the involvement in various events and activities sponsored by CECH. They also represent the college at numerous collegiate functions, professional events, and key promotional events.
You must have a 3.2 G.P.A. to apply and once accepted, maintain a 3.2 overall G.P.A. in order to be a Student Ambassador. You must also have:
- an enthusiastic and positive attitude
- a superior work ethic to perform assigned tasks
- a willingness to develop or improve public speaking skills
- an ability to start conversations with alumni and prospective students
- a genuine desire to help the University of Cincinnati remain a world class institution
- a desire to meet CECH alumni, important figures, and future students
- a UC e-mail account that you check regularly for updates
To remain an active CECH Ambassador you must participate in numerous events for a total of thirty hours each academic year. It is important to note that Ambassadors serve for one year and an interview process is required before admission to the organization. Students have the opportunity to continue each year, as long as the requirements and expectations of the program are met.
Being selected as a CECH Student Ambassador is an honor that reflects your academic rigor and your commitment to the fields of education, health promotion and education, and criminal justice.
