Brief description of department goals and/or functions:
The Instructional InnovationInternshipprogram offers opportunities to participate in the development and support of technology-enhanced instructional materials. Students who undertake internships work closely with instructors, instructional technologists, librarians, and teaching specialists to design, develop and support digital teaching resources for use in the Yale curriculum. Summer internships involve working in small project teams to design and develop new digital teaching resources based on faculty-initiated proposals.

Amount of salary/compensation: $12.00 per hour

Internship Required Qualifications:
· Attention to detail
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
· Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, anticipate actions needed and possess good organizational skills. Willingness to explore and enthusiasm for new fields of knowledge.
· Self motivated learner
Internship Desired Qualifications:
· Some web design or development skills preferred
· Some image/video editing skills a plus
· Some programming skills, even entry level, is a plus
· An interest in using technology in teaching a plus
Internship Major Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop and support digital teaching resources for use in courses, both online, in person and hybrid
· Work could include support for equipment maintained by CTL for use in teaching, such as iPads, clickers, podcasting peripherals, in partnership with Yale Libraries and the Bass Media Center.
· Other duties as assigned
