PUP Zechariah Lesson 7

Lecture Notes Kay Arthur

Is He TRULY Your King?

Is the One who is to be King of all the earth… is Hetruly your King?

Does anyone including yourself rule your life more than God rules it?

Is there anyone who takes care of your days, orders your steps more than God takes care of your days and orders your steps?

Who is the One to whom you bow and call Lord?

If the King of all the earthcannot bless those nations that come up to worship Him,

can He bless you today and tomorrow if you are not worshipping Him as He said in John 4 - John 4:24?

Where is the salvation of Judah recorded?

Zechariah 12 and 13. No other scripture in all the Word of God that shows you these details like Zechariah does.

1 Corinthians 5:7

Zechariah 12-13 It is about the salvation, atonement, of Israel. It is fulfillment of the Day of Atonement. So one time a year the high priest would go into the holy of holies to make atonement for sin. It is a picture of Jesus who will come and when He comes Israel will repent and look to Messiah in one day. (Zechariah 3:9-10; 12:10; 13:1;14:9) You see the salvation of Israel. You see them acknowledging Him as King. You see the 2nd coming in the 3rd set of feasts (the Feast of Booths). You see then the families of all the earth coming to celebrate the Feast of Booths. First mentioned in Leviticus, now fulfilled in Zechariah.

Jeremiah 23:6

Ezekiel 37:21–28 (God taking Judah and Israel, the two sticks, and putting them together)

Joel 3:13-14; 17-21 He is going to come as the Blood Avenger and He is going to avenge the blood of His people.

Zechariah 12-14 The last 3 ½ years and the coming of Jesus Christ from heaven.

Revelation 11:15-18 ; 14:19–20; 15:1-4; 16:12–16

Revelation 19:7–8

Glory be to Thee, God Most High.

Don’t you want now everything in His temple (your body) to say Glory to Him?

Don’t you want to be an example to the Hebrew nation that God promised in Exodus 19:2 that they would be a holy nation?

Don’t you want to live now as they are going to live someday in Jerusalem

when even the old cooking pots are equal to the vessels in the temple of the Lord?

Everything will be holy to the Lord.

Oh may we live in such a way that the world can see Who is coming.

Loving Him, serving Him as our King, as our Lord, and being holy even as He is holy.
