CEDARBURG/GRAFTON COUNCIL # 4520DISTRICT 69

Grand Knight

Thank you to those who volunteered to usher at Holy Hill in October and to every one of you who do so much for our parishes in so many ways that otherwise go unnoticed. Also, thank you to those who have attended Holy Rosary at both parishes and to those who will join us in the future we welcome your participation. As we near Advent and Christmas, please consider volunteering for a KC event next year or start a new one. Annual membership renewal letters will be mailed along with the Fraternal Survey. A list of events 2014 events can be found on our website. Specifically, we need volunteers to head up the Life Savers for Life Drive next October and Keep Christ in Christmas. If you are already doing something at church, let us know what it is and perhaps we can get other Knights to help you. The final vote regarding our clubhouse was 42-3 in favor of selling. The committee met with Will Hollrith to list the property last week. The clubhouse is now closed for the winter. Monthly meetings will be held in conference room C, which is in the basement of St. Joseph Church December - March. Remember our Order wide goal of one new member per council per month and welcome our newest member, Joe Voiland () of St. Joseph Parish. Do what you can to encourage men you know to join us and put those interested in touch with our Membership Chairs and our Field Agent, Paul Martin to follow up.

Lastly, please keep our fellow Knights and their families struggling with health issues in your prayers and thank you for your prayers following my arm and wrist surgery. Best wishes to all for a Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas & New Year

Rick Schaub

Clergy Corner

Brother Knights,

Congratulations to Rick Schaub, our Grand Knight, for doing a masterful job of presenting the matter of the need to take action regarding our Club House on Pioneer Road in Cedarburg!!!

In the latest edition of the Catholic Herald our Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki tells all of us that we should pray the Rosary. Also in that October 17th,2013 edition of our Catholic newspaper, an article explains that our Pope Francis "entrusts the entire world to Mary, our Mother". It is very good that we, as Knights of Columbus, started the Rosary Devotions at our respective parishes.

Thank you!

Blessings!

Dick/Rich Govek
