ILS Report11/24/15

E-commerce

Online payments are available again.CSC requested adding additional text to the hosted Payment option screen, the patron’s Fines tab in the PAC and in the LINKcat Online Payment instructions in the LINKcat Help page. The additional text states that refund eligibility is determined by the owning library.

Final testing show that the back button in the browser will no longer be active for the patrons - so patrons should no longer be able to make duplicate payments. If a patron does report they are seeing a charge that is listed as "pending", "in process" or something similar in their credit or debit card account, their payment might have run into the one remaining issue and it may be a couple of days before the payment shows as completed. Envisionware is also monitoring this problem in order to resolved this last problem.

If a patron does report any issues with LINKcat online payments (e-Commerce), please report it to the Help Desk either by phone or form immediately.Cindy will be checking the vendor reports on a daily basis and will need to know about reported problems asap.

Reports

Work continues on the new Crystal Report that will show the usage of all items on a specific bib entry to help libraries determine whether to replace a lost or damaged item.

The August withdrawal of items for the 2015 Annual Batch Deletion process did not occur. Staff re-confirmed the items (status and timestamp) and marked them for Withdrawal. These items were included in the Batch Deletion of Withdrawn items on 11/19/2015. The November round of reports for the ABD 2016 process have been posted and emailed to directors.

Training and Certification

The Koha Training Certification page is available at:

It includes the information on what is required to become certified and a list of who already has training eligible for meeting the certification requirements. The list consists of the primary training/contact staff at each library working on their certification pathway. If you attended training that is not listed on the spreadsheet, contactMichelle Karlsto submit a change.

There are still training opportunities that go toward certification in 2015. Please take a look to see if any of them will help you become certified. We will be issuing the incentives to libraries after December 10, so any training completed by then will count towards 2015. Training completed after December 10, will be counted toward certification in 2016.
