STUDENT CARE SERVICES @ PUNGGOL COVE PRIMARY SCHOOL

We are pleased to inform you that Knowledge Park Educare Pte Ltd (KPE) has been selected to operate the Student Care Centre (SCC) in Punggol Cove Primary School effective January 2016.

Knowledge Park was founded in 1991 and we have more than 20 years of experience providing quality educational services and student care services to thousands of students throughout Singapore. Currently, we have community and school based centres island-wide.

Through our Knowledge Park Systemic Learning Framework, we strongly advocate the partnership between the School, the Parents and the Centre to provide a safe, caring, positive and stimulated learning environment. We are also supported by professional educational psychologists and family therapists.

With our unique programme, you will be assured to leave your child in our care. We provide the following as part of holistic development for each child:

  • Learning Styles Profiling
  • Character Development
  • GEMS Time (various non-academic programmes)
  • eLearning Support
  • Outdoor Activities

Admission Criteria

The School-based SCC provides support for working parents by ensuring asafe, caring, positive and stimulated learning environment for children to complete their homework and engage in holistic developmental activities after school hours.

All applications will be reviewed and decided by the school committee.

Student Care Financial Assistance Scheme (SCFA)

Student care subsidies are provided by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). TheSCFA scheme is available to families whose gross monthly household income does not exceed $4,000 or gross per capita income not exceeding $1,000. Please refer to for more information.

Operating Hours

Our operating hours are:

  • Monday to Friday (during school days) – 1.30 pm to 7.00 pm
  • Monday to Friday (during non-school days) – 7.00 am to 7.00 pm
  • We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted Public Holidays.
  • We are closed on PSLE oral and listening comprehension days. (Not applicable in Year 2016)

Upon email confirmation, we will require you to prepare the following documents:

  • Complete registration form
  • 1 recent passport size photograph of the child (taken in the last 3 months)
  • Copy of the Child's Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Parents' NRIC (front and back)
  • Doctor’s letter of medical condition(s), if any
  • Total Payment of: $675
  • $20 Registration fees
  • $280 One-month refundable deposit
  • $280 January 2016 Student Care Fee
  • $50 Material fee
  • $5 Insurance
  • $40 Uniform (3 pieces of T-shirt)

Our Services and Programmes (GEMS. Time)

In our Knowledge Park Systemic Learning Framework (KPSLF), we strongly advocate the partnership between the Centre, the Parents and the School to provide an enriching learning journey for each student.In addition to close supervision of school homework, we offer exciting programmes specially designed for your child’s holistic development.

Learning Styles Profiling

Students will undergo individual self-assessment (Dunn & Dunn Learning Styles Profiling) to identify their own Personality, Learning and Thinking Styles. The Learning Styles report will enable our programme staff to understand the needs of the student better.

Character Development

Our CharacterDevelopment programme aims to promote gracious living and positive social interaction among students. We also aims to promote social and emotional learning in the students, providing them with skills to be a self-motivated and self-directed learner with strong positive values.

GEMS Time

GEMS Time is a unique, fun enrichment programme that teaches students the relevant skills and mind-sets for holistic development. Life skills taught in this programme include personal motivation, goal setting, oral and presentation skills, writing strategies and creativity and innovation.

Outdoor Activities

Students will be engaged in outdoor activities to build and develop their social-emotional skills. It helps students to self-regulate their emotions, increase their imagination, contribute to their cognitive development, and facilitate their social & interaction skills.
