GRADING

Grades will be updated on Edlineas students finish specific Algebra

anchors. Grades are earned through daily progress in Think Through

Math and through individual work based on deficiencies in specific anchors.

THINK THROUGH MATH:

  • Think Through Math is a web-based computer program thatstudents can access anywhere that has internet.
  • It is specifically written to address individual weaknesses on Keystone Algebra anchors and assigns problems based on student answers. As a result, students must utilize the virtual coach for help.
  • Students earn points by successfully completing one lesson per day. If a student is absent or does not complete one lesson in class, (s)he should do Think Through Math after school/at home to earn daily points.

INDIVIDUAL WORK:

  • At some point each semester, groups of students with the same deficiencies will be taken off of Think Through Math to work with the teacher on problems related to each student’s weakest anchor.
  • Points are earned by actively participating in each day’s lessons and by completing guided and independent practice problems in a timely fashion.
  • Quizzes are given at the end of each standard within the anchor.
  • The duration of this individual work depends on the length of the anchor.

If you have any questions, please email me at .

If you fall behind, but do not have computer/internet access at home, you are always welcome to stay in Math Lab or the College and Career Access Center to work on Think Through Math.
