Competitors should have own number bibs for classes 1 to 4.

Course may be walked on the day ONLY

Class 1:ODE 10 years and under - Level 1

Height of fences approx. 60cms

Dressage Test: Pony Club Grassroots Test 2016

May be ridden in any normal riding bit and can be commanded

Class 2:ODE 12 years and under - Level 1

Height of fences approx. 60cms

Dressage Test: Pony Club Grassroots Test 2016

May be ridden in any normal riding bit and can be commanded

Class 3:ODE 14 years and under - Level 1

Height of fences approx.60cms

Dressage: Pony Club Grassroots Test 2016

To be ridden in a snaffle bridle only, commanders not permitted

Class 4:ODE 14 years and under – Level 2

Height of fences approx.75cms

Dressage: Novice Eventing Test 2013

To be ridden in a snaffle bridle only, commanders not permitted

Class 5:Combined Training – 12 years and under

Height of fences approx. 60cms

Dressage Test: Pony Club Grassroots Test 2016

Competitors may not enter any other class

Class 6:Combined Training - 10 years and under

Height of fences approx. 50cms

Competitors may not enter any other class.

Class7:Combined Training – 8 years and under

Height of fences approx. 30cms (tiny cross-poles etc. – no fillers)

Dressage Test: Pony Club D Level Test 2012

Entry Fees:

Classes 1 to 4 – Burghley Members £25 – Other Pony Clubs £30

Classes 5 to 7 – Burghley Members £15 – Other Pony Clubs £18

Open to Pony Club Members only.

Rosettes – 1st to 8th – Prizes for section winners.

Paramedics in attendance – Refreshments available.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

3. Safety Rules - Failure to comply with safety rules will result in elimination

4. Photography- By entry to this competition competitors agree to being photographed by the Official Photographer

5. The Event is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2017 unless otherwise stated

6. The organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class and to refuse any entry for any reason and at their sole discretion.

7. The Judges decisions are final

8. Age as at 1 January 2017

9. Objections may only be made by Owners or Riders and must be submitted to the Secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the completion of the class, accompanied by a deposit of £10

10. Hats of all competitors must comply with Pony Club standards and be marked with a Pony Club tag. They must be worn with chin strap fastened at all times when mounted, with plain black or dark blue covers only. A competitor whose hat comes off his/her head whilst riding in a competition must, on penalty of elimination, replace it before continuing.

11. A Body Protector that meets BETA 2009 Level 3 (purple label) must be worn for all cross country.

12. Competitors may ride two ponies, entries permitting but no horse/pony may be ridden by more than one competitor.
