Position Summary: Responsible for achieving assigned product sales volume and profit objectives in the Consumer Product Divisions; Branded, Store Brand/Private Label and International. Coordinate sales programs, promotions and marketing events at key customers through the Regional Brokers orthrough Direct sales.

Education: (Include licenses, certifications, permits) / BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Experience / Qualifications
/ Minimum of 10 years CP sales or marketing experience, preferably in a canned product line. Experience working and managing branded and store brand accounts is beneficial. Must have experience working with brokered sales teams.
Skills / Abilities
/ Knowledge of the food industry and experience with retailers and distributors in the Northeastern and Southeastern United States. Must be analytical, have strong interpersonal skills and be willing to travel approximately 70%. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands / Significant travel required, approximately (70%). Good physical and mental health, sound judgment and high moral standards and a sincere desire to work with individuals from varied backgrounds. A current drivers license and good driving record is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Represent the company and its plans, policies and ethics while maximizing sales and profits.

  1. Develop initiatives for each business plan that align with our strategic plan for each current and prospective customer
  1. Execute on the business plans and achieve sales budgets
  1. Develop Go-To-Market plans for each retail customer account, including full customer analysis, category analysis, competitor analysis, and associated growth strategies.
  1. Develop justification analysis for programs, execute implementation, analyze and report on results.

  1. Assist Marketing in planning and execution of company goals.

  1. Inventory management – forecast pack and monitor after pack to achieve maximum profits.

  1. Monitor and establish pricing of all private label sales and contact with national headquarters.

  1. Establish and nurture relationships, which motivate brokers and direct customers to strengthen our brand and private label business.

  1. Educate and train brokers to effectively operate company software to present new items and develop individual customer action plans.

  1. Manage account specific forecasts, and product mix to maximize customer profitability.

  1. Conduct periodic broker and customer business reviews to maximize growth and profits while staying within budgets.

  1. Analyze, monitor and report changes in the marketplace (customer, broker, products and competition).

  1. Develop opportunities in the alternate channels of business (mass merchant, drug, etc.)

  1. Develop and manage International market opportunities while overseeing the Export Business Unit.

  1. Manage customer trade spend activity, marketing monies, deductions, etc.

  1. Food Safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.
