Class 1 - 09:30 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - STAR IN THE MAKING 75CM CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER / 75CM OPEN

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 75cm.

For registered ponies in Grades: JA, JC & JD to be ridden by junior members.

For registered ponies in Grades: JA, JC & JD to be ridden by junior members. THIS CLASS HAS TWO SECTIONS WITH 2 SEPARATE PRIZE FUNDS 1A. JM EQUESTRIAN / REC ARENAS STAR IN THE MAKING SERIES. For registered ponies any height ridden by a Junior member who has not been in the Silver or Gold league since January 1st 2016. This ‘mums’ class is aimed at Juniors jumping in the Bronze league to encourage the grass root riders.. Class 2 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - Cats & Pipes Debut UK Championship Handicap Qualifier

Rule 414. Table A. Speed 325mpm. Start Heights 75cm / 85cm.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. Open to registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with rule 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all, however for qualification purposes, those riders up to the end of the calendar year in which the age of 10 is reached are eligible to enter irrespective of Points achieved. Riders aged 10 years and over on 1st January in the calendar year, must not have won a total of 350 points in the 128cms section and 700 points in the 138cms section.

Once riders have competed at, or “ever” qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final. Once a Pony has qualified with any rider for RIHS or HOYS in the current year, then it is not eligible to compete in this competition or the Final.

Qualifying period: 1st January - 31st July

Number to qualify: Two Double Clears. Dual qualification for the Stepping Stones Championship if a double clear is gained within the qualifying period for Steping Stones (which is 1st January-30th June). Any pony/rider combination gaining a double clear in the Stepping Stones Championship will also have a dual qualification for the Cats & Pipes Debut.

Class 4 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - Mini Major Qualifier

Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m. DRAWN ORDER

For registered ponies not exceeding 128cms to be ridden by Junior Members (ages in accordance with Rule 77.13.)

The top 3 pony/rider combinations, disregarding those already qualified, to qualify for the Yorkshire Agricultural Society Mini Major competition at the Great Yorkshire Show on 13th July, 2017. Qualified riders will only be allowed to ride one pony in the Final and must nominate the ride by 30th June. In the event of a qualified combination not being able to start in the Final they will be replaced by another pairing at the discretion of the Organising Committee, if time permits.

Rule 290.15 - Pre-Entry Drawn Order Pre-entries may possibly be accepted before 9.00am providing that the number of entries are less than 60 (with the exception of County shows). Once entries reach 60 before 9.00am the class will be closed. Any entries taken on the day must compete first in the drawn order.

Rule 289A (a). Table A (2 Round). Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

Open to registered ponies not exceeding 128cms, to be ridden by Junior Members born in or after 2007.

Table A Two rounds not against the clock, all those clear in round one will go forward to round two over a shortened course.

Numbers to qualify: One double clear – once pony/rider combinations have qualified for RIHS or HOYS 2017 they are no longer eligible.

Class 6 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - Graham Heath Equestrian (128/138cms) UK Rule 284. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Heights 1.00m / 1.05m.

Open to registered ponies not exceeding 128cms, to be ridden by Junior Members born in or after 2005 and registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members born in or after 2003 Pony/Riders are not eligible to compete in this class before the calendar year of which their eighth birthday is reached.

Rule 410. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 80cm.

Horses / ponies may only compete in one section.

British Novice:

For registered ponies in Grade JD and JC that have not won a total of 150 Points to be ridden by Junior Members, ages as per Rule 77.12/77.13. Qualifies for: Pony British Novice Championship Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Pony British Novice First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony British Novice First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

80cm Open:

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members.

If combined with an open: In the event of 15 or more starters this class will be split with two sets of prize money. Ponies may enter one section only.

Class 8 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - 90 cm Novice Masters UK Supreme Championship Qualifier

Open to registered ponies that have not won a total of 300 Points, to be ridden by Pony Members, riders ages competing on 128/138cms ponies must be in accordance with rules 77.12/77.13.

Numbers to qualify: One double clear. Dual qualification for the Pony Discovery.

Class 9 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - Blue Chip Pony Newcomers/Pony 1.00m Open (both to inc. The Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Qualifier)

First place rosette kindly sponsored by Blue Chip In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Blue Chip Pony Newcomers is for registered Ponies in Grade JC & JD that have not won a total of 500 points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.First Rosette in the Pony Newcomers section sponsored by Blue Chip.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomers Section, ridden by Junior Members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.

Ponies may compete in one section only.

Please note this class will run alongside Class 10 please ensure you enter the relevant section. The classes will have separate prize funds.

Class 10 - REC CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA - Direct Insurance Group PLC Bright Star Championship

Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Open to registered ponies exceeding 138cms but not exceeding 148cms irrespective of points, to be ridden by Junior Members, disregarding those riders on the 148cms Gold League List as of March 31st 2016 or any rider/pony combination having ever qualified for RIHS or HOYS on a 148cms.

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Horses / ponies may only compete in one section. Pony Foxhunter First Round is for ponies in Grades JD and JC that have not won a total of 700 Points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Pony Foxhunter Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Second Round irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Foxhunter Section, ridden by Junior members who have not more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar year are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is pony/rider combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m Final.
