Jfitness Is Currently a Website and Youtube Page That Was Originally Started by My Cousin

Jfitness is currently a website and Youtube page that was originally started by my cousin Joe String at the University of Pittsburg. It focuses on nutrition and exercise for clients and provides them with programs and articles to help jump-start their fitness “careers”!☺

My cousin Joe invited me and my cousin John Brue to join JFitness because we all bring unique qualities to the company and because all of our names start with J! Aside from all being gym enthusiasts, Joe and I both are studying health and exercise science while my cousin John studies finance at Saint Joseph’s University.

Again, our goal is to help people understand the benefits of adding fitness to their lives and provide them with the strategies necessary to live a healthier lifestyle.

About me:

▫Fitness became a major role in my life after I had knee surgery at a young age. This injury to my knee caused me to be very inactive and extremely overweight. I realized that I wanted to change my life and become more fit. I soon became obsessed with fitness and trying to learn everything I could and be the best I can be.

▫Once I learned everything I could and implemented it into my life, it got me thinking “what next”? I thought if fitness had such a positive impact in my life, why couldn’t I help others to better their own lives? My cousins and I all asked ourselves the same question, which is why we want to start our gym in the future.

Heart Disease / Diabetes / Obesity
“Living a sedentary, or inactive, lifestyle has consistently been one of the top five risk factors for heart disease.” / “Improves insulin sensitivity, which means your body’s insulin works better.” / “Regular exercise (and proper nutrition) can help reduce body fat”
“Exercise shows reductions in triglyceride and LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels.” / “Moderate aerobic exercise can lower your risk for type 2 diabetes.” / “The more you exercise, the easier it is to keep your weight under control”
“Exercise increases the heart's ability to pump blood over time and improves quality of life” / “It can lower blood sugar levels” / “An increase in daily energy levels, and reduced risk of health problems”
